Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Mistaken Notion
RUSH: The Mexican Foreign Minister, Luis Videgaray, is spitting mad over President Trump’s new deportation orders. And – he’s promising a fight.

RUSH: Let's go back to the Grooveyard of Forgotten Sound Bites.
RUSH: They said, "You people here at CPAC? Get off your chairs and get out there! You can't just rely on the fact that we got a Republican in the White House and Republicans running Congress. Have you seen what the left is doing? You have got to get out there and maintain every bit of the energy you had during the campaign."
RUSH: Trump is about blowing up Washington as it exists. He's about upsetting the way it's always been done, including timelines, including the order in which things are done, and even how.
RUSH: That's a big difference than having the plan ready to go by August and having it signed into law by August. Those are very different things, so that's good.
RUSH: The Drive-By Media has to be distraught. Reince Priebus, Steve Bannon are on the stage together at CPAC, and they're getting along. That was not supposed to be the case. Bannon was supposed to shoot Priebus today in a duel.
RUSH: I think we're back to a state of normalcy where the American economy is going to have a lot to do with the way people think the president's doing. I think economic circumstances are gonna be a major factor in the president's approval ratings.
RUSH: Well, it’s an honor to meet you. I’m happy that you’re in the audience. It’s great that you’ve called.
SCOTT: I’ve been in the audience every day, I’m a huge fan, and I’m dying to play golf with you, Rush.
RUSH: You know, on this business of "protections" becoming a new word for "regulations," if the left wants to do that — and they're gonna do it — here's the right way to characterize it.
RUSH: This is just phase one, enforcing existing law, and the Border Patrol agents are energized. They're enthused. They're finally no longer called "rogue" when they go out and do their jobs.
RUSH: I have been listening and watching and observing, and I'm developing some ideas. Democrats want to win again, obviously, and I want to offer my admittedly free advice on what they should do if they want to win. Don't get frightened…
RUSH: Trump had a meeting this morning at the White House with a slew of manufacturing CEOs. I think it's still going on. If it's not, it went on for hours. Trump loves these meetings.
RUSH: I mean, there are no excuses. Republicans have the White House, they have the House, they have the Senate. The Democrats cannot stop the Republicans with votes.
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
