Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Supermarket Blues
RUSH: My friends, the Washington Post has discovered how unfair life in America is right in their own backyard.
RUSH: My friends, the Washington Post has discovered how unfair life in America is right in their own backyard.
RUSH: Republicans are already getting shot at. Journalists aren't.
RUSH: This is a lot of Democrats accusing the Republicans of murder, and where is the complaint? Where is the media complaining about the lack of civility? "How dare they speak this way? Kill people?" No. The media is carrying the message. The media is formulating the message, and this is the kind of stuff that ends up with Republicans being shot at! And here's Trump being raked over the coals for a bunch of words. There's just a very, very big missing sense of proportion in all of this.
RUSH: I think it's absolutely absurd and it's sophomoric to think that Putin would want a certain candidate to win. It isn't… Putin is going to be considering the United States his number one enemy no matter who our president is — and no matter who's elected, that isn't going to change.
RUSH: My experience with the press is that it's always negative, cutting, attempting to damage. It's unfair. Most of it's untrue. But it's always an attack. I have just grown accustomed to it.
RUSH: Mika Brzezinski and Scarborough have been going after me for I don't know how long despite the fact that when they wanted to come by here and say hello, I let 'em in, I spent an hour, gave 'em both an iPad, walked away. There was nothing contentious or confrontational about it at all. But they have been relentless in their smears and attacks.
RUSH: Mr. Jenkins at the Wall Street Journal has got a pretty good idea of what's happening here and has realized that what really has them in a tizzy here is that the Russians may in fact have tricked, not Trump, and not Carter Page, and not Michael Flynn. The Russians may in fact have tricked James Comey and the FBI into taking action such as that July 5th press conference and then the reopening back in October, of doing things that really did damage to Hillary's campaign.
RUSH: You know, it always amazes me what happens on this program that’s gonna get picked up and smeared — not smeared — broadcast all over everywhere else in the media. And there are two things.
RUSH: They're calling Trump's bodyguard over the Russian collusion story?
RUSH: The world has three years to start making significant reductions in greenhouse — How many years, let's see, starting in 1980 we had 20, and then when this program started in 1988 we had 10. We had 10 years to save the oceans, Ted Danson. We had 10 years to save the planet. And then in 2006, Algore said we had 10 years to stop global warming or it would be the end of the planet and civilization, and those 10 years came and went about two years ago.
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
