RUSH: Do you want to live a better life? Do you really want to have a normal, optimistic outlook on life every day? Don't watch that stuff! Don't watch CNN. Don't read the New York Times.
CALLER: Why, why, after all these years of silence does George W. Bush feel compelled to comment on the issues of the day?
RUSH: The whole premise of the White House Correspondents' Dinner, to me, has been fake; it's been fraudulent.
RUSH: I think Washington watchers keep their eye on what's coming out of Congress legislatively, and they don't see anything. They see Trump meeting and talking and doing things, and they don't see any legislation. To them, everything's legislation. I don't think they're aware of how Trump does things.
RUSH: As he laid some of this out with the governors in his speech today and as he's released little titillating, tantalizing details of the big speech tomorrow, it is very clear to me that Donald Trump is doing exactly what I suggested, what I hoped. And that's focusing on the domestic agenda.
RUSH: They hold fewer seats today than in the 1920s. That’s the last time it was this bad. It’s a situation, a position they’re unaccustomed to.
RUSH: So did the Russians hack the Oscars? Should there be an investigation in the House? Something so ridiculous, so unacceptable, so un-Hollywood-like.
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
RUSH: An illegal immigrant from El Salvador, Estivan Rafael Marques Velasquez, walked out of a New York jail — even though ICE had submitted an official detainer request to hold him for deportation.
RUSH: It's freak-out time at CNN. Get this: Apparently the White House had a press briefing this afternoon, a gaggle, and they denied entry to CNN, The Politico, the New York Times and the LA Times. They all showed up for the gaggle and the White House said, "Sorry, you're not on the list today; you don't get in," and they had a freak-out on CNN.
CALLER: One of my fellow teachers, I'm walking down the hall, and they're like, "Oh, would you like a safety pin?" And I'm like, "You know what? My kids know they're safe with me. I don't need to wear a safety pin to prove it," and I turned around and walked away.
RUSH: So to Chris Cuomo, "tolerance" means a 12-year-old should want to see a naked male in the bathroom running around flouting his penis, and to oppose that is intolerant. These people are nuts, and they anchor the news! They're literally insane. What happened to these people?
RUSH: Why does the left protest and the right doesn't? The left is a hate group. Their propulsion is hate. And they have to have an outlet for the hate. It's not just that they disagree. They hate. And this energy requires action. People on the right, they don't hate anybody.
RUSH: CNN doesn't even say Priebus lied. They don't allege anything. They're just playing a game here with the timeline in their headline, and trying to make like we've got a bunch of authoritarian Russian associates bending on the FBI, leaning on the FBI, to hammer the media.
RUSH: What really has guided me in terms of politics for a huge number of years is defeating the left. Now defeating the left with conservatism, obviously. But if it meant a slight departure here or there, defeating the left is it to me. That has to happen.
RUSH: Creamer gets in there somehow and he gets these flags planted and these eager beaver CPACers wave them because the flags say Trump. OK. Kudos to you, Creamer. Good trick. But the problem here is the media knows this is all BS, and they’re treating this as though it is literally true, that Trump supporters are pro-Russia.

RUSH: The Mexican Foreign Minister, Luis Videgaray, is spitting mad over President Trump’s new deportation orders. And – he’s promising a fight.

RUSH: They said, "You people here at CPAC? Get off your chairs and get out there! You can't just rely on the fact that we got a Republican in the White House and Republicans running Congress. Have you seen what the left is doing? You have got to get out there and maintain every bit of the energy you had during the campaign."
