Rush 24/7 Morning Update: No Question
RUSH: Okay, folks, no question: By any objective measure, Judge Neil Gorsuch is qualified to sit on the Supreme Court. His resume is impeccable.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: People all across the country — millions of your listeners across the country — are so heartened by this, the early days of this administration. I'm just telling you, and telling all of them, "We're just getting started. We are in the promise-keeping business."
RUSH: My theory is that rather than rip this up and start over, wait until they cheat, because that's a given. It is a given that the Iranians are gonna cheat. So put the onus on them for backing out of the deal.
RUSH: The way the Democrats are looking at this, they'll be happy with one scalp.
RUSH: I checked the email during the break, and I have a lot of people thinking that I'm overly optimistic on the tactics the left employed all the time failing them because people get wise to it. And I understand. Look, we've had a lifetime of the left defining these narratives and getting away with it.
RUSH: I was watching Judge Gorsuch make his remarks after President Trump had nominated him last night in the East Room of the White House, and he said something that I thought was remarkable.
RUSH: This kind of thing should have been done long ago!
RUSH: This morning Orrin Hatch did something that we haven't seen Republicans have the courage to do in I don't know how long.
RUSH: Everybody talks about the "nuclear option." And maybe I should take time to explain and define what the nuclear option is.
RUSH: They are going to try to maintain the perception that they're outraged, as it's manifesting itself in the Gorsuch case. There were protesters outside the Supreme Court last night with prefabricated, premade signs. No matter who the nominee was, they were gonna use 'em, and he's what? He's racist, he's extreme, he's anti-female, he's anti-Roe v. Wade, before they even knew who it was.
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
