RUSH: Last December, a record-breaking California fire burned 440 square miles, destroying over 1,000 buildings and killing two people.

In January, a UC Berkeley study warned that 100 million dead trees increased the risk of more mass fires. They recommended thinning forests and removing dead underbrush. But California is run by environmental wackos.

Now California is experiencing the biggest fire in state history. Some 455 square miles have burned, and the fire is still growing. Over 11,000 buildings are at risk, and the fire may not be contained until September.

The Drive-By Media blames global warming and climate change. They’re blaming California residents for moving into previously undeveloped areas. They’re ridiculing Trump’s comments on the fire.

But they don’t criticize California’s liberal environmental policies, which left 100 million dead trees as kindling, as fuel for these massive fires.

This is political malpractice on a grand scale. California Democrats are more concerned with giving sanctuary to illegal aliens, and building billion-dollar high-speed trains to nowhere, and banning plastic straws, than protecting their residents from preventable risk.

In almost any other state, they’d be held accountable for it. But in California (clapping) they’re applauded! Screw ’em!
