RUSH: Let’s now go to the audio sound bites. Saturday on the Van Jones show on CNN, he asked former Vice President Algore about the impact of the Trump administration on America. Van Jones says, “I want to get your assessment of the real threat to our democracy, Al Gore. Some people feel like we’re at risk of losing our democracy. How do you assess the danger that we face now with this presidency?”

GORE: The Constitution is under assault. The Democratic norms that are not always written down but have always been observed for a quarter of a millennium now, they’re under attack.

JONES: Do you think it’s more Trump and far-right extremists, or do you think it’s more Putin kind of pulling everybody’s strings?

GORE: Well, Putin is a threat, but I think there are other causes here. Fox News, the Rush Limbaugh variety of talk radio that’s all over the country. And you add all that together with Vladimir Putin and the hacking of our system, the stealing of emails and then the very precise use of that information to try to elect Donald Trump.

RUSH: All right. Now, serious question. Seriously, folks. I’m not trying to be funny, if this sounds funny, I’m not trying to be disrespectful, if it sounds like that. Is Algore really this stupid, or does he believe what you just heard him say? “Do you think it’s more Trump and far right extremists, or do you think it’s more Putin kind of pulling everybody’s strings to explain how we’re losing our democracy?”

Algore says, “Well, Putin’s a threat, but I think there are other causes here. Fox News, which reaches five million people, the Rush Limbaugh variety of talk radio that’s all over the country –” I guess if you add up all the talk shows on AM radio, it’s a sizable number of people. But still compared to the Drive-Bys? “Fox News, the Rush Limbaugh variety of talk radio, you add all that together with Putin and the hacking –”

So now this program has been lumped in with Putin as an element undermining our democracy! Remember the great lesson of California, America’s new class civil war, these people who think the elimination of the Republican Party is the objective of this current civil war. Does Algore really believe this? I ask you.
