RUSH: You think Bryan Cranston, the Breaking Bad actor, Walter White…? You think he was talking to me? (interruption) You think he was? (interruption) I will. So hang on, folks. We’re just now getting warmed up.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I want to read one other thing to you. When was this? I guess this was last night, maybe this morning, it’s Page Six at the New York Post.
And the headline: Bryan Cranston. He played Walter White Heisenberg in the TV series Breaking Bad. The headline: “Bryan Cranston: ‘F— You’ to Anyone Who Wants Trump to Fail.” Whoa! Because that’s who Bryan Cranston originally was, he hated Trump, he didn’t like Trump, he was part of the Hollywood brigade trying to destroy Trump. So I proceeded to read the story, and I came across this.
“‘President Trump is not the person who I wanted to be in that office, and I’ve been very open about that,’ Cranston said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Monday. ‘That being said, he is the president. If he fails, the country is in jeopardy. It would be egotistical for anyone to say, “I hope he fails,”‘ Cranston said. ‘To that person I would say, f— you. Why would you want that? So you can be right?'”
Now, would I be egotistical or off base to assume that he might be thinking of me here? ‘Cause I don’t know anybody else who said this. One thing I have learned, the left hasn’t gotten over that, just like they haven’t gotten over what — there’s one other thing that shocks me they haven’t gotten over. I’ll think of it. But “I hope he fails,” I own those four words. But am I wrong? Is he just speaking generically here? I have no idea.
