Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Compromise
RUSH: Yet another Obamacare repeal went down in flames thanks to Republican Senators John McCain, Susan Collins, and others. It should now be apparent to everybody that there never was any desire to repeal it.

RUSH: There has to be a reason that benefits Saudi men or they wouldn't do it.
RUSH: Note how they’re backing away from this. “It’s not about the flag.” Why are they saying that? Because it’s hurting. It is not helping. It’s not promoting equality. It’s not promoting unity. It’s causing division. And division in a big, giant business does not lead to business growth.
RUSH: North Korea apparently is so confused by President Donald Trump that it's asking U.S. experts for help understanding him.
RUSH: Trump said he's considering an executive order on associations which would allow coverage and buying of insurance across state lines, which will fix a lot of Obamacare. The insurance companies are opposed to that, by the way. You would think the insurance companies would love that, just on the surface, but they don't like it.
RUSH: I told you yesterday this is a populist tax plan, not conservative, and the Republicans are demonstrating they're not conservative. Trump is not. He isn't an ideological conservative… It sounds exactly like what Democrats would hatch up.
RUSH: She can't handle this loss. She can't handle anything about it. She's whining and moaning and complaining in public like this. It's not a pretty picture out there. It's painful to listen to, painful to look at this. It's always been painful to look at, painful to watch Hillary Clinton in action.
RUSH: In addition to the media desperately trying to make everybody believe that Trump's voter base is abandoning him because of this return, the election last night in Alabama, they're all trying to say that San Juan and Puerto Rico is Trump's Katrina. They are attempting to establish a narrative that Trump doesn't care about people in duress.
RUSH: I'm gonna be on Fox News, Sean Hannity tomorrow night and Friday night.
RUSH: This is gonna be deep and bad — and if this does have tentacles that reach college football, it's gonna turn the world upside down for a lot of people who have a purist view about athletics, college athletics and sports endeavors.
RUSH: The media, they're so eager to report that Trump's losing the support of his voters that they are totally missing what this Alabama thing is all about. In essence, Trump's voters were protecting him.
RUSH: No longer is this just gonna be a long list of stories that I might mention on the program. Now, you will get specifically the stories that I talk about on the program and a select list of a few others that I intended to get to but ran out of time. It's going to be more of a real-time base feature rather than just a generic list of places that I go to prep the show.
