RUSH: Folks, this is a Christmas show. We’ve got our political stuff here, and a lot of it’s very meaty and we’re gonna get to it. But for you Stick-to-the-Issues Crowd people, give us a couple minutes here. You know, go have a cup of coffee or something and come back. It will be safe in a couple of minutes here, ’cause we’re gonna discuss things. I think everything is related to politics, as you well know. I think a political connection to almost everything happening in our country can be made.
Oh, yeah, I can’t wait to the get to the shlong incident. Trump shlonged Hillary. Oh, the media is outraged, they can’t believe it. In fact, since you bring this up, you know, when Hillary lied about Trump, about ISIS making a recruitment video out of Trump’s comments on the moratorium of Muslims in America, I had a thought, and I was gonna mention it today, that if I know the Hillary camp they’re making that video now. They have gotten hold of some Muslims and they’re going to make a video and they’re going to produce it as though it’s legitimate. Little did I know, until I just now got the audio sound bite roster that the media advised Hillary to do just that last night on CNN. Let me find it. It is incredible.
I have some great sound bites from Mandy Patinkin from Homeland. You know, I wish these people would shut up about their politics. This is gonna ruin my enjoyment of that show. For crying out loud, just shut up. Would you actors just shut up about it? You start opening your mouths and you blow it. You blow your image. You destroy whatever credibility you might bring to the role you’re playing because now we know you’re nothing but a bunch of pinkos. Damn. I don’t know if I could ever watch this show again. I’ll get to that in due course.
What’s the bite? Somebody help me out with the bite here. Yeah. Grab number nine. This is Erin Burnett and David “Rodham” Gergen last night advising ISIS to put out a video with Trump in it quick. Erin Burnett OutFront is the show, speaking with David Gergen, and this is their little exchange back and forth here.
BURNETT: Bill Clinton has been used in ISIS recruiting videos, and Donald Trump surely may be in the future, but at least at this point he has not.
GERGEN: Don’t you think there’s a video coming now? (chuckles) Don’t you think they’re gonna make one real quick and get it out there?
BURNETT: I mean, they absolutely could.
RUSH: Like, what are we waiting for, like, let’s do it, like. It’s an automatic. This is why I wanted to mention it at the top of the program because that video is gonna be produced. It’s not gonna have Hillary fingerprints on it. Oh, and did you see Chelsea’s pregnant? Right on time, folks, there’s gonna be another Clinton baby right in the middle of the campaign next year. Ho.
Anyway, so there will be a video, you watch, a recruitment video of the Trump comments, and it will be claimed to be legit, but here you have David “Rodham” Gergen and Erin Burnett practically urging ISIS to do it in order to help Hillary and you just know that the Hillary campaign is gonna do it on their own without getting any advice. And I still fall back on this silly idea, the idea that all it takes to turn a peaceful Muslim into a raging self-immolating bombing jihadist is to show him or her a videotape of Donald Trump suggesting a moratorium on Muslim entry to the US. I mean, how peaceful can it be if that’s all it takes? And that’s what Hillary is saying.
I think that’s a big point. You know, others are glossing over that as not that big a deal. I think it’s profound. I’ll tell you another reason why it’s profound, is because it totally misses the point. You think that suicide bombers and jihadists and ISIS really come from external motivation like this, or could it be that this is how they’re raised, could it be that this is part of the Islamic supremacist ideology, as in Sharia law? I mean, the idea that these people are minding their own business and walking down the bazaars waiting to trade goat heads and whatever else going on and just doing their business, and all of a sudden peaceful people were inspired at the drop of a hat to join the jihad? What a crock they want us to believe here.
So, yeah, we’ve got that and Trump and Hillary and the shlong comment. The media can’t figure it out, doesn’t know what it means, but they’re sure it’s dirty. They’re sure it’s a big, mean, insult, and they can’t believe it.
Oh, by the way, my theory on the Trump Effect in polling looks like it’s been confirmed now. Looks like it’s been confirmed. Meaning that Trump’s support is even bigger than what is being reported by the polls. And the indication is that the polls taken by telephone show Trump doing much better than in-person polls. So there’s an indication there that when people think they are responding in private, they’re freer, feel less encumbered and go ahead and tell the truth.
By the way, this is red letter day for me, folks, because there’s all kinds of stories confirming things I have been saying for decades, months, weeks, days, particularly on the aspect of the coalition that has been created by Trump, that it is exactly what the Republican Party wants, that it’s exactly what the Republican Party claims they’re trying to do here. Trump is assembling that very coalition of people. So details on all of this coming up.
And also, I got an interesting note from a friend of mine today who is very frustrated. She was looking for any signs of hope. Here we are on December 22nd, Christmas Eve two days way, Christmas Day three days away, she’s looking for any sign of hopefulness in the news, that there’s a rosy future for the country ahead, that things are not as bad as they seem to be, that we’re not at the end of the road, that all is not lost. And then she said she came to the conclusion she’s looking in the wrong place.
You don’t look to the news for signs of hopefulness. You look to God. This is Christmas. That’s what Christmas is about. You look to God for signs of hopefulness and joy. So if you’re looking for all that in the media, if you’re looking for all of that in the news, you’re looking in the wrong place. You’re never gonna find that — well, not consistently, anyway — in the news.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Here’s Tim in Detroit. Tim, great that you waited. Thank you so much. Hello, and hi. Great to have you on the program. Hello.
CALLER: Thank you. Mega dittos, Rush. It is a great honor to talk to you, sir. I think you’re one of the greatest Americans on the planet Earth.
RUSH: Well, thank you very much.
CALLER: You’re very welcome, sir. My comment is regarding Hillary Clinton and what she said, that Trump is used to rally up ISIS. And I kind of compare it to back in the 2012 election when Harry Reid commented on the floor of the Senate and said Mitt Romney didn’t pay his taxes for the last three years. And he just commented on it a couple months ago regarding it, and he kind of laughed. He knew it was a big, fat lie. And nobody’s gonna check it out. The same with what Hillary said. Nobody’s gonna check it out.
RUSH: Oh, wait. Wait. Oh, no. Wait. They did. I mean, even the staunchest Hillary defenders in the fact-checker media, they looked. They’ve already concluded she’s lying. There is no such recruitment video that ISIS or anybody else is using with Trump.
CALLER: Well, they’re gonna use — what they were saying yesterday was, well, there’s a lot of video out there on the Internet, and I’m sure somewhere out there an ISIS person is looking at it.
RUSH: What’s happening now is — and your Harry Reid analogy is pretty good. Here comes Dingy Harry, and he says (paraphrasing), “A friend of mine told me that Mitt Romney hasn’t paid his taxes in the last three or five years.” And the media says, “Who’s your friend?” “It doesn’t matter. That’s not who you should be asking. You need to go ask Romney why he’s not paying his taxes.” And the media says, “Do you have any evidence?” “Yeah, my friend told me,” said Harry Reid.
So the media said, “Okay,” and they run over to Romney, “How come you haven’t paid your taxes in 10-years?” Romney said, “I thought you wanted to talk about contraception, now you want to talk about taxes? What do you mean I haven’t paid my taxes? I have paid.” “Can you prove it?” “What do I have to do that for?” “Well, Harry Reid says you haven’t.” Totally changing the argument, put Romney on defense. Here comes Hillary saying that ISIS has a video of Trump’s comments that they’re using to recruit. The media looked into it. They wanted it to be true.
CALLER: Maybe Hillary should have gotten somebody on the Senate to say that, then they probably wouldn’t have had to check —
RUSH: No, see, what’s happening now, Tim, is that the media is subtly suggesting to ISIS that they in fact put such a video together.
CALLER: (laughing) Yeah, I know.
RUSH: Well, they are. And, by the way, Tim —
CALLER: They’re so evil.
RUSH: — don’t doubt that Hillary is — in fact, I will guarantee you that a grant from the Clinton Foundation is being used to fund the creation of such a video by some Islamist group, I’ll guaran-damn-tee you.
CALLER: Yeah. They’re so corrupt. And just one last comment. I believe that Donald Trump — I’m a truck driver and I work with a lot of African-Americans, and there’s 20, 30% of the African-Americans I work with that really like Donald Trump.
RUSH: Yeah, you know what, Tim, you’re really on to something there. One of the bits of information that people are stumbling across as they’re examining the Trump coalition in the South is how large is the group of African-Americans in these Southern states and elsewhere, too, who do support Trump right now. It’s got everybody bamboozled.
CALLER: Well, I’ll support him 100 percent if he’s our nominee.
RUSH: Did you hear what Kenny Rogers said?
CALLER: No, no. What?
RUSH: Kenny Rogers, Something’s Burning, hold ’em, fold ’em, whatever, Kenny Rogers, somebody just dropped in see what condition my — the singer. He said, I have tell you, I have to tell you, I love hearing Trump saying what he’s saying. It’s hard to disagree with Trump.
CALLER: Yeah, he, well, he’s telling the truth, Rush. He’s telling the truth. What makes this country great is our intolerance for stupidity and our intolerance for people coming over here and trying to change our culture. That’s what makes us great.
RUSH: What do you mean, our intolerance? It seems to me we’re being pretty tolerant of that. It seems to me that the current leadership’s even inviting it, it seems to me.
