KEN: I don’t know if you heard, but Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis police officer, on trial for murder and manslaughter in the George Floyd case, they will be — the defense will be — resting their case today. I don’t know exactly when, but they’ll be resting their case today. The court will take tomorrow off. So that looks like we’re getting close to a verdict.
By the way, officer — former officer — Derek Chauvin has invoked his Fifth Amendment right. And just so… In case you’re on the liberal side of things, all citizens get the benefit of the Constitution of the United States. Not just certain people. “BLM has declared the criticism of the cofounder’s purchase of five homes…” That criticism, they say… Because the Black Lives Matter cofounder, Patrisse Khan-Cullors — because you criticize her, that is, in essence, an act of terror from racists, because you said why does she have five homes.
But the same way that Hillary benefits from the Clinton Foundation — millions and millions and millions of dollars — this individual has benefited from exploiting the feelings, the anger, and the press from BLM. And just as a quick reminder: This is the woman who said that she is a trained Marxist and that’s the goal of the organization.
I’m going to quote her now: “‘[W]e actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,’ she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza. ‘We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk.'”
So now you have a woman who apparently is working on becoming independently wealthy — not everybody can be Hillary Clinton, though — and she has five houses. And what is the first thing that’s said when someone says, “Hey, you’re the BLM cofounder. What…? Do you need five houses? Why do you need five houses?” And the response is, “You’re racist!”
Speaking of racism, it’s sadly running through everything that’s going on today because that’s how the media wants it. The Kenosha cop who shot Jacob Blake, sparking the deadly protest — remember? — in Kenosha and Mr. Rittenhouse and all kinds of other mayhem and carnage, you knew — or maybe you didn’t — he was cleared of wrongdoing in the last 48 hours. Today, he returns to duty.
So don’t be surprised if this is going to completely melt down Geraldo Rivera, who has already… He melted down several years ago. But don’t be surprised. So we have a lot going on the world of law enforcement and race that is driven by the news media. And to give you an example — we talked about this yesterday — the woman who took the life… And it’s heartbreaking that it’s difficult to keep all these cases straight, isn’t it, when you think about it?
But the woman who took the life in Minnesota, south of Minneapolis, of the 20-year-old, Daunte Wright, she is being charged, I believe, with second-degree murder, is it? No, manslaughter. Manslaughter. And that’s absurd, in my opinion. In my opinion, it’s absurd. And we’ll be talking about that later in the show. But I do want to juxtaposition that police officer who was trying to stop someone from stealing a car.
She was trying to get through a door that had a broken window on it, both her hands were visible. She was unarmed. She was shot and killed. That individual, who has not been named… Now, there are a handful of people out there that are leaking information, but we’re gonna wait ’til things are confirmed. That individual has still not been named. So, as We the People… See, we pay that person’s salary — that man’s salary.
We don’t even know his name, and he shot an American dead, and she was in a building that she pays for. Nothing’s happening to him; we don’t know his name. But somebody liked the white woman that shot Daunte Wright, they leaked her address — obviously we know her name. The threats were so bad and so many people showed up at her house. They had to put guards, concrete barriers, and fences around her house — you know, like the White House.
Now she’s had to relocate, ’cause of the threats. She’s now at an undisclosed location. So I just want to you compare those two situations. Who’s being outed, who’s being charged, who’s being harassed, and what a horrific job the news media does covering all these facts and everything else. Let me just make sure I covered everything, ’cause there’s several other things that are happening.
That’s the game that they play. People go, “Water bottles? Big deal. I’m sure they were thirsty.” No. What you do is you freeze water bottles, you freeze soda cans; now that becomes a very dangerous projectile, and that’s how the rioters can get under the radar. They bring a cooler to the riot and then they throw stuff at cops’ heads, and that’s what happened with CNN. Here’s what’s so ridiculous.
Have you ever seen such a dangerous, ignorant group as Antifa or BLM? CNN is probably the most supportive of those two organizations. Yet there’s Black Lives Matter attacking a CNN film crew, which would probably show them in the best light ever. There’s only one person that is probably dumber than that. His name is Joe Biden. Listen to this.
RUSH: Plugs said, “The idea that instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at ’em with a knife or something shooting them in the leg instead of in the heart. It’s a very different thing. There’s a lot of different things that can change.” So Plugs is actively encouraging that criminals and thugs be shot in the leg, not in the heart.
Can you imagine if Donald Trump had said this? Can you imagine if Trump had said this? Don’t even put him in a church. Just imagine Trump announcing a new police policy. “To make people safer and to make sure that we do not kill the protesters or the thugs or the rioters, I’m instructing cops to shoot ’em in the leg instead of the heart.” There was not a single reaction of any kind aimed at Biden from the Democrat media or anywhere else. I mean, there’s some people laughing at him like us.
KEN: This is where we as the American people — or from now on I refer to us as We the People, because I do believe now since both political parties are pretty much the same, that We the People were our own thing. Whatever it may be — 80 million, 90 million, 160 million, whatever it may be — that’s us. We don’t want an us versus them. But like Rush points out — and he did on a regular basis — the media should have been there to explain, “Excuse me, Joe. Maybe you need a nap.”
But this is what’s happening all across the news media right now. People that have never trained with police, worked as a police officer, have probably never even fired a weapon, are making these ridiculous comments, and they’re just hyping up division, and that’s what’s happening. That’s why it’s no longer about justice, whether it ever was. I think at the very beginning it was. It was heartbreak; it was anger. There were police officers that crossed the line. Now this has become a tool. It’s a lever to push an agenda forward, and to give anybody on the left a get-out-of-jail-free card for rioting.
