Rush 24/7 Morning Update: That’s Showbiz

by Rush Limbaugh - Dec 8,2020

RUSH: Businesses on both coasts are struggling to survive. In California, Governor Gavin Newsom just announced really harsh new shutdown orders, and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti is wiping out business owners with COVID rules. In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio are locking down businesses.

Keith McAlarney, who owns a Staten Island bar, is staying open in defiance of the shutdown. He’s already been arrested twice.

Not only is the government against him; so is Saturday Night Live.

There’s a little-known dumbass comedian on that show, Pete Davidson. He used his most recent SNL appearance to mock the bar owner, and others struggling to keep their businesses afloat.

This cruel humor at McAlarney’s expense didn’t go over well with him. McAlarney and his attorney held a press conference to push back on the comedian for trying to humiliate people who are going broke while trying to make a living. They said maybe Saturday Night Live should try mocking those who rioted and looted, instead of those working hard.

But Saturday Night Live liberals don’t care a whit about this guy, his business, or his problems. He’s good for a laugh. He’s a target to be impugned and then his usefulness is over. Saturday Night Live doesn’t have to worry about New York’s shutdown. They got a COVID “loophole” to keep their live audience.

That’s showbiz! They don’t care.
