RUSH: I want you to get used to something. There’s going to be — there is already — coordinated messaging coming from the Democrat governors. There’s a phrase that they’re all using out there and that proves to me that there is coordination, and that is that, “Y’know, we’re not gonna just flip the switch. We gotta go to the dimmer. We gotta dim it up and dim it down.”
It’s used by five or six governors now. So there’s a coordinated Democrat political response to opening the U.S. economy. There’s another one. This one comes from Pennsylvania. Quote, “Republicans have sent the message loud and clear: They don’t care about Pennsylvania families or the lives that will be lost should this legislation become law. The Republicans’ focus should be on saving lives, not saving the stock market.”
A variation of that is gonna be all over the media. It’s gonna come out of every Democrat analyst’s mouth on cable TV. “We’re reopening the economy. Republicans don’t care about lives! Republicans care about the stock market.” This is not a question, as I’ve always said, of lives versus money. This is lives versus lives. So you know this is gonna happen, the president knows it’s going to happen, and it cannot stop us from reopening.

RUSH: “Pennsylvania State Senate Votes to Override Governor’s Stay-at-Home Order.” There is effervescing out there, a desire on the part of the people to get back to work. “The Pennsylvania State Senate on Wednesday sent a bill that would partially lift the lockdown on most of the state’s businesses to Gov. Tom Wolf’s (D) desk.
“The measure, Senate Bill 613, would require the governor’s office to align with federal guidelines in determining which businesses will be allowed to reopen during the pandemic, allowing all those that can safely operate with mitigation strategies under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency guidelines.
“The measure passed the senate 29-21 Wednesday after passing the state House 107-95 Tuesday. The Republican senate also approved a bill that would allow county governments to implement their own plans to reopen independent of the state’s plan.”
So there are a lot of people in Pennsylvania not happy with the way the governor has acted on this. So some mayors, state Senate, now some county leaders want to take matters in their own hands. Here’s how the Democrats responded. As I told you, get used to this. We’re gonna hear a lot of this. Quote, “Republicans have sent the message loud and clear: They don’t care about Pennsylvania families or the lives that will be lost should this legislation become law. The GOP’s focus should be on saving lives, not saving the stock market.”
This isn’t about saving the stock market. It’s about saving the United States economy where everybody’s fortune resides, where everybody’s lifestyle resides, where everybody’s dreams and opportunity reside. The economy’s not a bad thing. The economy’s not just a Republican thing, except, sadly, it’s become that. But get used to this, folks. Republicans have sent the message they don’t care about Pennsylvania families. It is the exact opposite.
