Rush 24/7 Morning Update: Damned If You Do…

by Rush Limbaugh - Aug 5,2019

RUSH: We’ve all heard that a big problem with the U.S. immigration system is that our courts are backlogged with asylum cases that take years to resolve.

So the Trump administration started a pilot program in ten cities to fast-track these hearings for about 56,000 refugees who want to come here.

Now, is Trump’s bold action to alleviate a glaring problem being applauded? Nooooo way, folks!

The Trump administration is being slammed by immigration lawyers and leftist activists, who say resolving these cases quickly is “unfair.” They accuse Trump of deliberately fast-tracking immigrants who don’t have their documents in order.

The lawyers also complain they don’t have enough time to prepare their clients on how to testify to get the outcome they want. (It’s not “testify.” I’ts “recite”! Anyway…”)

It’s a case of damned if they do and damned if they don’t. On one hand, the immigration courts are too slow. On the other hand, they’re too fast!

But what this really demonstrates is something we’ve known all along: Liberals do not want the immigration system fixed, and they don’t want the law enforced, under any circumstances. They love the border exactly the way it is right now.
