RUSH: Rush Limbaugh here behind the Golden EIB Microphone and an update here on the Stand Up for Betsy Ross T-shirt. I’m going to reappear tomorrow on the Fox News Channel, Fox & Friends with Steve Doocy, to provide an update on the status since they were very, very helpful here as we got this thing off and running. It has been up and running for a week and they are eager to hear a status report. So I said, “Okay, we’ll do it.” So it’s the same time tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Folks, I continue to be — we all do — just so happily blown away by the ongoing response to this, the Stand Up for Betsy Ross T-shirt. This, too, is an outlet for people to push back in their own way with a great charitable tie-in, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

But we’ll have all kinds of added detail tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. ET on the Fox News Channel. Of course, if you can’t see that, we’ll have it here at noon tomorrow when the program begins here on the EIB Network.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: The actor Chris Pratt has been wearing a new T-shirt out there. And his T-shirt has — he’s the star of Jurassic World. His new wife is Katherine Schwarzenegger, and they were wearing what looked like a patriotic T-shirt, but superimposed on the Stars and Stripes, the flag on this shirt is a rattlesnake with the phrase, “Don’t Tread on Me.” And the snake above the flag with the words “Don’t Tread on Me” has some people labeling Chris Pratt a racist! And they’re accusing him of aligning with white supremacist values.

The coiled rattlesnake with the “Don’t Tread on Me” is the iconography associated with the Gadsden flag created by Continental Army Brigadier General Christopher Gadsden. While the flag’s original purpose was not rooted in white supremacy, it supposedly has been adopted by some white supremacists and far-right groups.

So here’s Chris Pratt, if he had a Stand Up for Betsy Ross T-shirt he wouldn’t be in any trouble whatsoever. Well, he might be, but now they’re running around calling him a white supremacist. So here again a bunch of angry leftists attacking somebody for putting something harmless on a T-shirt, showing you, by the way, the courage it took to enter into this fray.

Stand Up for Betsy Ross, do you realize the popular conventional wisdom of the day is that she was a white supremacist and racist as the designer of the first flag, and that’s why Kaepernick was offended, and that’s why Nike followed his wishes and took their Betsy Ross T-tennis shoes off the market? Which is why we turned around with the Stand Up for Betsy Ross T-shirt, which has over 220 knockoffs now.

And despite our legal department practically doing nothing but tracking all of these people down, and we’re getting a number of them shut down but they keep popping up because there’s been something magical about this. And again, I’ll be appearing on the Fox News Channel 8:30 a.m. ET tomorrow morning with Steve Doocy for an update on where we are with this, particularly the charitable donation and other details.
