RUSH: That’s right, my friends. Look at it this way. The best and the brightest and the smartest people in this country — the best and the brightest and the smartest people in this world — have been conspiring for over three years to get rid of the idiot, the dunce, the scumbag, Donald Trump. They can’t find one thing they have been looking for. They have been looking for crimes; they can’t find a single one — and at the end, they don’t even have the guts to invent one.

We’ve got the best and the brightest in the U.K., the best and the brightest in the European Union, the best and the brightest in the United States all on the left. They have spied. They have wiretapped. They have practically tortured people. They’ve wiped people out. They’ve ruined people to get them to spill the dirt, spill the goods on Donald Trump. They got all the attorney records from Michael Cohen! They went out and they have violated so many practices, so many ethical regulations.

And still, after all of this, the dumbest scumbag on earth has fooled the smartest people, over and over again! Not just one time. The best and the brightest the American Democrat Party has to offer have had unlimited resources, have had unlimited personnel, have had total complicity and compliance with the world’s media, and they still cannot find one thing to get rid of this glittering jewel of stupidity, in their minds.

Now, who is it that looks inept, incompetent, unqualified, and like a bunch of bozos? Them. And now the piece de resistance, they produce a movie for HBO, a miniseries called Chernobyl, which is a pretty historically accurate portrayal, and somehow they tell us it’s about Donald Trump. (laughing) From 1986,
it’s about Donald Trump! To the phones we go. Open Line Friday. Steve in Warrenton, Virginia. Great to have you, sir. Welcome to the program. You’re up first today.

CALLER: Well, good afternoon. As I listen to all that you’re going through — and I listen to you every day, and we… Just every day, we have a review of the lies and — and the… I mean, they’re lying to themselves, the Democrats are, as well as to anyone else that will listen. So all those lies are in the here and now, sort of. It’s all about what’s been going on in the last two years. But in the future, let’s say President Trump has… I’m sure he’ll be reelected. What do you think will happen when he’s reelected and he has a second term of great accomplishments just as he has now? What will the history books say? What will the textbooks say?

RUSH: Oh. Now, that’s a different question than what I thought you were gonna ask.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: I thought you were gonna ask me if he will ever be treated fairly while he’s in office.

CALLER: Oh. Oh. No. After office. His wife will never be on the cover of a magazine. If there’s a picture of her on a national magazine about the first ladies, it will be way down to the left and it will be about the size of a quarter.

RUSH: Okay, well, let me answer the question I thought you were gonna answer because that’s actually the best question. It’s just important that everybody understand this. I don’t care what Donald Trump accomplishes — for the good of the country, for the good of the most people — they are never going to treat him with any respect. They’re never gonna treat him any differently than they do now. Just get used to it. It is never going to happen. They will never acknowledge any of Donald Trump’s accomplishments. I’m talking…

Not the history books. He asked me about the history books. That’s a different matter and that will be different. But if Trump wins reelection, expect more of this. They’ll add the term “lame duck,” and they’ll try to act like he’s now irrelevant, he shouldn’t have been elected in the first place, and they’ll all start looking forward to 2024. And the Republican Party will start doing the same thing. But, folks, look. Pardon me for inserting myself personally here.

I’ve been doing this for 30 years, and they haven’t changed how they approach me or deal with me or this radio program or those of you who listen to it. They still have their efforts to undermine and, if they could, get rid of this program, like they’re trying to constantly get rid of the Fox News. If you’re looking for your definition of success when they finally accept Trump and acknowledge him, it’s never going to happen. That’s why they have to continually be defeated, folks. The day of getting along with them over these kinds of things is a long way off.
