RUSH: You know what is not news at all outside the Beltway? A lot of Democrats are out doing town halls. A lot of campaigning is going on, and you know what? During Q&A, nobody is asking any candidate about the Mueller report. It is a dud. It is a nonstory. You know why? Because of the conclusion. See, the Trump team had their first crack at this. The first team Barr, the attorney general. His press conference went first where he announced no collusion, no obstruction.
That’s it.
End of story.
Out there, outside Washington, there is very little interest in it. Yet look at what the Democrats are doing. It’s all they care about. It’s the only thing that matters, and they’re doing nothing other than still running this coup trying to drive Trump out of office, while it’s a nonstory to the vast majority of people who are worn out on it, fed up with it. This is why the investigation of what happened has to happen. This is why the people who pulled this off need to be identified and held accountable.

RUSH: House Democrats struggling with how to respond to Trump’s refusal to cooperate with the investigation. One of the ways they’re doing it is that Elijah Cummings of the Congressional Black Caucasians and the chairman of one of the many committees going after Trump claims that the refusal to answer subpoenas, the refusal to turn over John Dean, I mean Don McGahn, the refusal to send anybody up there to lie to this committee about Trump is being called massive obstruction.
Trump’s vow to fight the Congressional Black Caucasians, Elijah Cummings and these committees, is being considered massive obstruction. And Elijah Cummings has further said — he’s on the House Oversight Committee — there’s a witness they want to talk to, a guy named John Gore. He wants to talk about his role in the Trump administration decision to add a question to the 2020 census.
They want to actually have a House Oversight Committee investigation into that because they’re scared to death the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court, as John Lewis pronounces it, Supreme Court said during oral arguments it looks like that having a question on the census about citizenship will gain Supreme Court sanction.
Now, you’ve heard the old saw you can’t really predict what the court’s gonna do by watching and listening to oral arguments, but it did appear that there’s only four libs opposed to it with the five other justices in favor of it. And the libs of course don’t want this because they figure it’s gonna lose them money, it’s gonna lose them congressional seats, it’s gonna lose them power. And the only reason they really care about illegal immigration is the opportunity to register as many of those people as possible to vote.
I continue to notice, and I’m struck by it, that whenever the whole subject of illegal immigration comes up, Democrats never use the word “illegal” and the media never uses the word “illegal.” They just talk about it as immigration, as though we’re opposed to immigration, Trump’s opposed to immigration. They conveniently leave out “illegal” immigration.
