RUSH: If you doubt what I just said, I have a story here from TheHill.com, the headline: “Co-Founder of Satanic Temple: Pence ‘Really Scares Me.'” What is TheHill.com doing quoting and reporting on something called “the Satanic Temple”?

Who the hell is the Satanic Temple and what they think of Pence, why is that even newsworthy?

RUSH: This is TheHill.com. This is not some wacko penny saver publication in the supermarket checkout aisle. This is TheHill.com. Let me just read the beginning of the story to you.

“The co-founder and chief spokesperson for The Satanic Temple says that Vice President Pence’s ‘theocratic’ vision for the U.S. is what ‘really scares’ him. ‘[President Trump] is too stupid to predict; the guy has no concept of his own limitations. The thing that makes me most comfortable with Trump is the fact that he has no vision. Mike Pence really scares me,’ Lucien Greaves told The Daily Beast in an interview published on Wednesday. ‘Pence has a clear, theocratic vision for the United States.’”

Any of you ever heard of The Satanic Temple? Have any of you ever heard of Lucien Greaves? How is Lucien Greaves any different than some anonymous Twitter user? You mean to tell that in order to rip Mike Pence, they’ll go out and find somebody that runs something called The Satanic Temple, and somebody that runs The Satanic Temple will be given the status to opine on Mike Pence to have a vision that really scares him? I’m told that Jesus scared the devil too. Have you heard that, Dawn? I’ve heard the devil was really scared by Jesus. Does that mean we abandon Jesus?

I mean, how does this even become news? I maintain it becomes news because they hate Mike Pence! They hate anybody on the right. They hate anybody white, male, Christian, you name it, traditional values, however you want to characterize things. So go out and find somebody that runs basically the devil’s temple and say, “Yeah, this guy Pence scares the hell out of me. I don’t know about this guy.” And of course it means we’re all supposed to be scared of Pence. All of us. This Pence guy, Satanic Temple cofounder is warning America about Mike Pence. This is sick, sick stuff.
