RUSH: Comey testified before Congress on Friday behind closed doors and then went out and had a press conference about it and said any number of things, including that a transcript of his testimony has been released (or leaked or whatever). In no particular order here, James Comey last night told the denizens of New York’s Upper West Side at the 92nd Street Y that Americans must “‘use every breath we have’ to oust Trump in 2020,” expend every bit of energy we have!

Comey is famously nonpartisan. Remember that? He “begged Democrats to set aside their ideological differences” between themselves “and nominate the person best suited to defeating Trump in an election.” This is a quote: Democrats “‘have to win. They have to win.'” He said that impeaching Trump “‘would muddy'” the water, “and potentially leave a third of the country feeling like their chosen leader had been removed in a ‘coup.'” Mr. Comey, I think it’s more like half the country voted for Trump, and a large number of them will consider this a coup.

In fact, Mr. Comey, they think you’re already been part of a coup! If the truth be known, Mr. Comey, millions and millions of Americans think that you are one of the ringleaders of a silent coup that’s been going on for two years to get rid of Donald Trump. “Comey said he hoped that Trump would be swept out of office without being impeached. Framing the rise of Trumpism as a political ill the country needed to exorcise at the ballot,” meaning get rid of. “[H]e expressed a hope that Americans would ‘in a landslide rid ourselves of this attack on our values.'”

And there it is again. Every time I hear a Democrat say this… I grew so weary of Barack Obama talking about anything he disagreed with as being “an attack on our values.” What values are those, Mr. Comey? What values are you representing and standing up for? I mean, this guy does believe that he is the paragon of modern moral virtue. So what the hell are his values that he would help direct an FBI effort to meddle in our elections and then a coup to remove a duly elected president? Do you people realize who has been meddling in elections here?

Let’s start with Hillary Clinton and Christopher Steele and the dossier and Fusion GPS and the Perkins Coie law firm, and then let’s go to the FBI and the Department of Justice. Let’s go to the various intelligence agencies all the way up to the FISA court. Do you realize they were meddling in an election by planting spies in the Trump campaign? Six of them! Who is it here that actually meddled in an election? Who is it that tried to affect the outcome of the election outside standard campaign norms?

Why, that would be the FBI-led James Comey. That would be Peter Strzok and Lisa Page and McCabe and Bruce Ohr and his wife, Nellie, and any number of others. Rod Rosenstein. Any number of others. Robert Mueller. Who is it that’s actually tried to meddle in the outcome of an election? And then when they failed, who is it that has been meddling in the day to day comings and goings of an existing and elected presidential administration for the purposes of unseating it? Why, it’d be the same people. The irony of this is overwhelming.

Whereas Trump didn’t meddle with anybody! Trump did not collude with anybody! Certainly not with Russians! Trump hasn’t had any involvement that’s criminal in anything with anybody, and yet look at the criminal activity being ignored and overlooked that was undertaken alone by the Clinton campaign! And it is James Comey who is throwing out the term “Trump is ‘certainly close’ to being an unindicted co-conspirator.”

Again, that is the purposeful revising, bringing back to life of Watergate-era language. That was 1974. There are a lot of people today who weren’t alive in 1974 and have no idea about Watergate other than what they perhaps learned about it. Unindicted coconspirator. Richard Nixon. Ooh! Horrible, rotten guy forced out of office! “Comey Says FBI Didn’t Investigate Trump Campaign.” However, is this right?

There’s a Devin Nunes memo here that was redacted. This is Comey: “Because of the sensitivity of the matter, the FBI did not notify congressional leadership about this investigation during the FBI’s regular counterintelligence briefs.” In other words, the FBI was investigating Trump and didn’t tell Congress! And let’s not forget the Trump campaign was not given a heads-up. All this time, the FBI, the DOJ, particularly the FBI thought the Russians might be tampering.

The FBI worried that the Russians might have spies in the Trump campaign. Did they tell the Trump campaign? Did they call Trump or anybody else and warn him, “Be on the lookout! We think Russians may have tried to infiltrate your campaign”? No! They put people in the campaign to pretend to be Russians or to pretend to try to collude with Russia. Six different spies were implanted or attempted to be implanted in the Trump campaign. This is John Solomon news, which we mentioned last week.

“The transcript from the first James Comey interview with the joint House committee is rather revealing … One of the more interesting aspects surrounds Comey claiming the FBI never investigated the Trump campaign; and yet also claiming four Trump campaign officials had FBI investigative files opened on them simultaneously.” Now, we know who they are. They were Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, [Paul] Manafort, and I forget who else.

There were four people. Their names were redacted except for Carter Page’s, but we know who they are now. “Comey wants everyone to believe it was a coincidence” that they had four people in the Trump campaign being investigated but that there was not an investigation of the campaign per se? “There are people who to this day that maintain that the FBI opened counterintelligence investigations into four Trump campaign associates in late July 2016, when George Papadopoulos…”

This has been debunked so many times and yet it continues to be reported that (chuckles) Papadopoulos was telling the Australian ambassador that he knew — as a member of the Trump campaign — that the Russians had 30,000 Hillary emails. Papadopoulos only knew that because the FBI were the ones that told him! John Solomon: “Comey’s Confession: Dossier Not Verified Before, or After, FISA Warrant.” The FBI used an uncorroborated smear of Trump paid for by Hillary Clinton to get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign.

Comey was then fired for his politicized incompetence by Trump. That triggered the hiring of Mueller. Do you know why the dossier was not verified before or after the FISA warrant? Because it couldn’t have been, because it was made up! There was no way the Steele dossier could be verified! It was made up. It was Hillary Clinton opposition research, and Comey is still testifying about it as though it is central to everything that’s happened here, even though they couldn’t verify it.

He even “confessed that the FBI had not corroborated much of the Steele dossier before it was submitted as evidence to a [FISA] court to support a … warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in the final weeks of the election.” I’m only bringing this up because these are things Comey has testified to and he’s out there telling the people that you gotta vote Democrat. (summarized)

“Whoever the next Democrat nominee is, we gotta elect ’em in a landslide! We have got to say as a nation that we don’t like Trump, we made a mistake electing Trump, and we don’t ever want anybody like Trump again. So you gotta vote Democrat, and you gotta vote big.” Here’s another John Solomon story. “FBI Email Chain May Provide Most Damning Evidence of FISA Abuses Yet.

I talked to John Solomon last week, interviewing him for the next issue of The Limbaugh Letter and I asked him, what’s it like? You’re doing all of this great work, you’re uncovering all of this salient information, and it’s being suppressed. Your work, other than where it’s published at TheHill.com and when you appear on Fox News, is never cited. The stuff you’re uncovering blows to smithereens the standard, day-to-day narrative of what happened here. And yet you keep plugging away.

And he does. And he interestingly thinks that this is all gonna end up working out. “FBI Email Chain May Provide Most Damning Evidence of FISA Abuses Yet.” Some pull quotes.

“As more of the secret evidence used to justify the Russia probe becomes public, an increasingly dark portrait of the FBI’s conduct emerges. The bureau, under a Democratic-controlled Justice Department, sought a warrant to spy on the duly nominated GOP candidate for president in the final weeks of the 2016 election, based on evidence that was generated under a contract paid by his political opponent.

“That evidence, the Steele dossier, was not fully vetted by the bureau and was deemed unverified months after the warrant was issued. At least one news article was used in the FISA warrant to bolster the dossier as independent corroboration –” This is interesting. I don’t know if you remember this. But the FBI presents the dossier as part of the FISA warrant. They also included in their application for the warrant to spy a news story mentioning the dossier that they had leaked!

They didn’t tell the FISA judge they leaked the story. They tried to use the journalists who wrote the story as additional evidence for the Steele dossier being legit. “Hey, Judge, it’s not just us. Look at this. This news account appeared,” in whatever newspaper it was. They purposely leaked the dossier to a bunch of journalists who then wrote stories about it which then the FBI included in their application for the warrant to spy.

“The entire warrant, the FBI’s own document shows, was being rushed to approval by two agents who hated Trump and stated in their own texts that they wanted to ‘stop’ the Republican from becoming president.” That’s Strzok Smirk and Lisa Page.

“Sources say the specifics of the email chain remain classified, but its general sentiments about the Steele dossier and the media contacts have been discussed in nonclassified settings.”

This is what Mueller’s fake prosecutions are designed to distract everybody from. These fake indictments of these Russian trolls and everything else that has nothing to do with anything, cases that will never be tested in court, allegations that will never be tried, therefore never contested. The Mueller investigation is a fake enterprise designed to add to the daily assault on the public opinion of Donald Trump and to exonerate and cover up the actual criminal activity of the Clinton campaign and others in the FBI who did, in fact, meddle in the 2016 election.

Everybody involved in this needs to be prosecuted. If they’re found guilty, they need to go to prison because this country desperately needs to learn that we do not have a two-tiered justice system, one for us, the deplorables, and one for the elitist SOBs who’ve captured Washington. ‘Cause right now public perspection is that we have a two tiered justice system. And it is. Democrats exonerated and never charged. Republicans, the exact opposite. That perception cannot go on.

The truth of this is gonna have to come out at some point, but as long as we are distracted and sidetracked by Trump supposedly committing impeachable offenses by entering into nondisclosure agreements with a couple of women he had illicit affairs with, that’s impeachable or that’s indictable, when members of Congress have their own slush fund paid by taxpayers to do the exact same thing and nobody charges them or even pursues them.

The perception that we have a two-tiered justice system, one for the Washington establishment and one for everybody else, is undeniable. And given the importance of the rule of law in holding the fabric of our culture and society together, this cannot go on. The people who have engaged in the real criminal activate and the real meddling need to be charged, they need to be convicted and they need to see real time in a real, real prison.
