RUSH: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Dave, you’re next. It’s great to have you with us. How are you doing? Dave, are you there?

CALLER: Yeah. Can you hear me?

RUSH: Yeah, I can hear you now. We’re having trouble getting volumes turned up here for the past two days, but, nevertheless, great to have you. What’s up? You are Dave from Harrisburg, right?

CALLER: Yes, I am.

RUSH: Okay. Just double-checking.

CALLER: All right. Yeah, the media wants you to believe that the Republican Party has all this fracture now between the Never Trumpers and the Trump supporters. It’s the Democrat Party that has the fracture right now. They’re trying to not let the public know that, but the Democrat Party, the far left is trying to take over that party, and the more they do that, the more you’re gonna see the Brexit and Walk Away movement, people like that. I feel that Trump’s gonna win again in 2020.

RUSH: You know, it’s interesting you say this. I was gonna ask you and then you got to the answer. I was gonna just ask you to describe for me how you think the Democrat Party is actually the party that’s fracturing. You think it’s the new, young Millennial, far-left extremists at war with the war horse old-time Democrats?

CALLER: Yep. Exactly. I think it will be interesting to see what happens if Pelosi is gonna be the Speaker. That’ll be a telltale sign, I think.

RUSH: Well, you know, I have made the prediction that these young whippersnappers are not gonna sit here and listen to these old seasoned veterans. They don’t listen to old seasoned veterans anywhere else in their life, why should they listen to ’em in the House of Representatives? This is a young generation that really thinks anybody that’s five years or more older than they are doesn’t know jack. They don’t know anything about tech. They don’t know anything about freedom. They don’t know anything about treating people who are different from us the same.

They really think people — it’s not much older, five years or more, if you’re five years or more older than the current crop of young Millennials, you may as well not exist. And I think a lot of these young whippersnappers, not just in the House, but I think it’s all throughout the country, all throughout our culture. And if they are politically inclined — they don’t have to have run for office and been elected. They just are simple voters.

Look. I’ve got reasons for thinking this. I study it, folks. You may think I read these tech blogs just ’cause I like iPhones and stuff. And I do, that’s true. But it’s also a study of a particular segment of the American population, young Millennials. And I’m telling you, it is fascinating in one sense, because the cocksure arrogance of people in their twenties and thirties and the things that they think they know that they don’t know, it is striking to me.

I don’t have enough time here to give you any real world examples. Much of it involves climate change, the examples I would give you, things they think are gospel and true that just aren’t. But it’s not just climate change. It’s a lot of political and cultural issues. But it doesn’t matter because if you don’t think what they think, then you don’t count, you’re not even alive, you’re not even worth paying any attention to. You’re certainly nobody that can teach them anything. That’s the big difference.

Most young people at some point realize that outside of their family there’s a lot to learn from people who are older, who have lived more, who have advice or wisdom. But not this crop. They have no respect for Pelosi or what she’s done, and it doesn’t matter. Whatever she’s done for the Democrat Party, whatever struggles she personally overcame to win and become one of the most powerful elected Democrats, doesn’t matter a whit to them. She’s old, just get out of the way. The only exception is Ruth “Buzzi” Ginsburg, only, that I can find.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Hey, look. I had an interview with Senator Lindsey Graham before the program for the next issue of The Limbaugh Letter and I’ll just give you a little hint. He said the same thing that our last caller did. He thinks the Democrat Party is not unified and is on the verge of having a major, major fracture.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, folks, I want to get back to the subject of our last caller in the previous hour who made what I’m sure many of you think was really out-there claim, and that is that it’s the Democrat Party that’s fracturing, we just don’t see it because it really isn’t being reported and it’s hard to believe because the Democrats just took back control of the House, and they made inroads in certain places in the Senate. It’s a lot closer than anybody would like. And we all see the red and blue map, and we see the blue getting bigger. So how can it be that the Democrats are having a fracture or a fissure?

Well, I talked to Lindsey Graham this morning, a rare morning interview for The Limbaugh Letter, the next issue upcoming. He said the same thing. I talked to him about a number of different things, including the election and the Florida recount. But not only does he think that the Democrat Party is fracturing, and he also described the fracture as becoming apparent once the new House is sworn in and the young socialist Democrats try to assert their power there.

It is his belief that nobody is really prepared for what we’re gonna see because it hasn’t truly been reported on just how much opposition the old-line, Jurassic Park Democrats have from their own young Turk socialist Democrats, like Ocasio-Cortez, and there’s some other young ones in there that got elected too. And in contrast to that, Senator Graham made the case that the Republicans are unifying around Donald Trump!

He was extolling the virtues of Trump in this interview like I haven’t heard anybody extolling the virtues of Trump in a while, and he was suggesting that it’s the Republican Party that is going to be unifying as we get to 2020. And I know a lot of people are gonna read it, “This is just hype. He can’t really believe this.” But I think that he’s serious about it. When he said this, I said, “But, wait a minute, Senator. What about the Never Trumpers? I mean, these are conservatives who are watching their life’s work be implemented as policy and they oppose it!”

And he agreed that that was crazy, but he thinks that they’re a minority and they’re not gonna be able to disrupt the Republican Party coming together. He did acknowledge that — and he’s curious about this idea that Republicans are losing suburban women. He’s not sure where that comes from, not sure it’s true, but needs to look at it. And he made the case which many from his side of the aisle do that the Hispanic vote is not guaranteed to go Democrat like everybody thinks that it is.

But on the side of the Democrats and their fracture, I want to take you back — grab audio sound bite number 11. I just want to remind you what I said about this last Wednesday, the day after the election.

RUSH ARCHIVE: The smart money says it’s gonna be Pelosi, but I really am gonna be keeping a sharp eye out for some of these new arrivals on the Democrat side, some of these young Millennial types — who, believe me, know more than anything about anybody.

They know more than anybody knows, and they have no patience. I mean, we’re almost in a Logan’s Run. Remember that movie where everybody over 30 was killed? Well, we’re not quite there, but the attitude here is that old people need to get out of the way and stop slowing things down and screwing things up. Old people simply can’t relate to the present.

I see them sitting here as Pelosi gives them that lay of the land and firing right back, “Who are you, old woman? You got no business telling us what to do! You think you run this place? It’s your turn to get out of the way. You don’t threaten me.” I’m saying, I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens.

RUSH: That is a prediction based on what does now happen. Freshmen are brought into the offices of the speaker and the leaders of their party, and they’re given the lay of the land.

“You like being here? You like winning the election?”

“Yeah, yeah.”

“You want to stay here, get reelected?”

“Oh, yeah, yeah.”

“You want to eventually have a meaningful committee appointment, maybe even a chairman?”

“Oh, yeah, yeah.”

“Well, then you’ve got to do everything we say your first term. You vote the way we tell you to vote, you vote when we tell you to vote, you say what we tell you to say when you vote the way we tell you to vote. And if you do that, everything’s gonna be fine. We’ll make sure you get reelected or at least get a lot of money to run your reelection campaign. We’ll support you. But if you do not follow through on our instructions, then you’re finished! You’re not gonna be here after one term. We’re gonna see to it that you lose.”

That still happens. It happens on both sides. It happens on the Republican side, too, to a certain extent. Can you imagine Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in all of her publicly raging ignorance, can you imagine her in that meeting being talked to that way? Can you imagine her being acquiesce and say, “Oh, sure. Okay.” That’s not gonna happen. She’s gonna fire back at ’em, “Who are you to tell me how to vote? You’re the past. You don’t know what’s going on. You don’t even know why I got elected. You don’t even know how I got elected. Screw this! I’m voting for my people. I’m voting for what I think is right. It’s your turn to get out of the way. Hell, who are you?”

And that’s their attitude about anybody five years older or older. Here’s Max Rose. Last night on Your World With Neil Cavuto, Congressman-Elect Max Rose, Democrat, New York, Cavuto asked him who he will support as speaker. Cavuto says, “We know you’re not keen on Pelosi.”

ROSE: I’m not a supporter of Nancy Pelosi, and I am not voting for her, no ifs, ands, or buts, under any circumstances. That’s what I’m controlling.

RUSH: I’m not gonna vote for Pelosi. I couldn’t care less. Pelosi’s not gonna matter. She’s old, she’s a witch, been there way too long, she can’t possibly be as hungry, she’s too rich, she can’t possibly. Hell, just because she’s old and been there and done it doesn’t mean she should be entitled to it. We’re not voting for her.

Believe me, this is not sitting well with the Democrat leadership. It’s not sitting well with the Washington elite establishment. Stu Rothenberg is a member of the Washington elite establishment. He was on the PBS NewsHour last night, and he was asked the following question: “At the top levels, the leadership team appears to be headed to remain in place. Pelosi as speaker and all that. They’ve been there for about a decade. The three top leaders are in their late seventies. Now, is this gonna be a challenge for the Democrats, the public face of the party almost 80 years old as we approach 2020?”

ROTHENBERG: Let’s remember the speaker is a woman, Clyburn is an African-American; so this is a party that has tried to be more diverse and welcoming, but there’s no question that 18 to 29 years old, 18- to 35-year-olds, they would be more comfortable seeing, I think, some younger members. It doesn’t have to even be in the formal leadership, John. These are people who speak for the party and are involved in TV interviews and things like that. I think that would be helpful for Democrats.

RUSH: What he’s saying is that these youngsters, yeah, they’re good to have on TV, but let’s not make ’em in charge of anything. We’ll let you youngsters, we’ll let you go on TV and say whatever you want to do, but you leave running the House to us veterans. That’s what Rothenberg is saying. And we shall see. They may do a good job of tamping it down, Pelosi and her crew. They certainly have experience at that. We’ll find out in January.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Right here, this is what I was talking about. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joins a climate change protest in Pelosi’s office. We’ve got the audio coming up. Democrat socialist and congresswoman elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spent her first day in Washington as an incoming freshman by joining climate protesters in Pelosi’s office.

I’m gonna let you hear this idiot – um, in a moment you will hear Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez talking to these protesters outside Pelosi’s office, and she gets a rock star welcome. There are high fives all over the place. She gives a nothing burger speech, and these kids, these protesters are just nodding like bobblehead dolls in Pelosi’s office. Here you go.

OCASIO-CORTEZ: I just want to let you all know how proud I am of each and every single one of you for putting yourselves and your bodies and everything on the line to make sure that you save our planet, our generation, and our future. We do not have a choice. We have to get to a hundred percent renewable energy in 10 years. There is no other option. It’s not just about confrontation but in a way it’s about real meaningful unity behind our goals.

RUSH: And they’re just sitting there nodding like bobblehead dolls. I’m not kidding. We need to put our body on the line and everything on the line to make sure that we that we save our planet, our generation, and our future. We do not have a choice.

I’m telling, folks, I read as much as I can written by this age-group. And you know what? It’s my hobby, you know, which is why I don’t take a lot of — I’m gonna start actually sharing with you some of this stuff. It’s stunning what they have been made to believe that cannot be proven, has not been proven, won’t be proven, that it’s just dead wrong, but they believe it as though it is gospel. But then there’s an arrogance about it that is — I don’t know. It’s a little off-putting.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Okay. Now, folks, this is interesting, what’s happening here. This planned move against Pelosi by the young freshman Democrat socialists, as typified by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who really is ignorant. I do not mean this as an insult. I’m literally saying that as the word is defined. She just doesn’t know very much. But she thinks she knows it all, which is comical to me.

She’s gonna become a lot more knowledgeable as she lives longer, if her mind is open. But people who think they already know everything or know enough, sometimes stop learning and they end up becoming full-fledged fools that everybody else notices, but they don’t. She really is ignorant about policy. This woman got an economics degree at Boston University, and you should hear her talk economics. She can’t! She literally can’t discuss it.

When asked how she’s going to pay for any of her policies, her new answer is, “You’re not qualified to ask me that if you haven’t ever balanced a budget yourself” or some such thing. She doesn’t know what she majored in and what she has a degree in. And she’s not alone, by the way, in young people.

If you want to know, in the postelection demographic studies of who voted, have you seen the stat that college educated people are voting more and more Democrat than noncollege educated people? That’s a statistic that a lot of exit polling data is showing. Now, when you say it like that, college educated people tend to vote Democrat, what do you include from that? Well, smart people are obviously voting Democrat.

No, it’s the exact opposite. I maintain to you it’s the exact opposite. Non-educated college graduates are voting Democrat. College students who have been propagandized — and this has been going on for a couple of generations if not longer — they’re not being educated. They’re not being taught to think. In fact, thinking is being suppressed. Thinking has been replaced by acceptance and obedience! This is the thing that nobody understands. Everybody thinks these young leftists are a bunch of radicals! They’re not! They are as obedient as any kids have ever been! It’s their obedience to something that never gets discussed.

They are obedient to their leftist professors. They are obedient to every leftist influence they’ve ever had in their lives. Except maybe their parents because everybody rebels against their parents until a certain age, then things normalize. But they think they’re radicals and they think that they are different. They’re not! They, in effect, are actually, in many cases, the mind-numbed robots in our society. Mind-numbed by virtue of what they think has been an education.

But I don’t think anybody can look at what’s happening on major universities today and looking at the graduates that are going into politics and think there’s any education taking place here. But there is a lot of indoctrination. The idea that college graduates are more and more voting Democrat makes perfect sense! They’re being obedient! There’s nothing revolutionary or radical or outside the box about them. They’re cookie cutters! There’s just lots of ’em!

Practically everybody going to a major university is being propagandized in practically every class they’re taking. Every class they’re taking has a leftist tint or focus to one degree or another. And, man, are they swearing by it. And they are also taught the arrogance that they exhibit. They’ve been taught that since childhood. They’ve been taught that they’re special. Their self-esteem has been paramount. And not being depressed and not being sad and not being unhappy, that’s all been part of how they’ve been raised.

They are entitled to be happy. They are entitled to not be upset. They are entitled to not have to hear things people say that they don’t agree with. This is what they have been told are their rights. And none of that has to be earned. As far as they’re concerned, that has to be granted to them. But the key to understanding these people is that they are obedient.

They’re radicals in the sense that they differ from majority of people in the country, mainstream political thought. But they’re not radical. They haven’t arrived at this on their own. They’ve been indoctrinated in it. This is gonna come to a head maybe even more than I thought because these Young Turks now going after Pelosi, they’re starting to tick off the media. Because the media thinks these Young Turks are fine and dandy when they’re beating Republicans, but they need, then, to know their place, which is they’re freshmen. They’re beginners.

They haven’t done jack anything yet. They can’t hold a candle to Nancy Pelosi. They have no business thinking that they’re even qualified to do what Pelosi does, and they’re basically just to shut up and follow their orders. Well, that’s where their obedience is going to end, because they’re not obedient to Pelosi.

They’re not obedient to their elders, if you will. In their minds, their elders are the problem. Their elders are so old and fashioned and just don’t get it, like they still watch cable. They don’t know what cord cutting is and they wouldn’t know how to operate an iPhone, they wouldn’t know how to stream a YouTube video.

You think Pelosi knows how to stream a video? So the development here, this afternoon on CNN’s Inside Politics, the chief political correspondent Dana Bash had this to say about possible challenges to Pelosi’s run to be the next speaker.

BASH: This is me making an observation right now. Isn’t it interesting that Nancy Pelosi who has, you know, maybe close to a new 40-seat pickup is being questioned about whether she should stay as a leader in the wake of her victory, and Chuck Schumer, who had losses, nobody’s questioning whether he should stay there? It’s really noteworthy, and I think, look, I think that there’s definitely a gender issue.

RUSH: Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho! So, for all of you who think the Democrat Party might actually be fracturing, maybe you have a point, because here comes Dan Bash, and she is loaded for bear that everybody wants to get rid of the old broad Pelosi but nobody seems to care about getting rid of Chuck You Schumer. It must be sexist. It must be a sexist move to get rid of Pelosi!

So Dana Bash and her age-group of media types, they’re gonna circle the wagons around Pelosi. A, she’s a fellow woman. B, she’s of their thinking, she’s of their generation — well, maybe in a fashion. But clearly, culturally these babes in the Drive-By Media identify with Pelosi. And these Young Turks coming in who want to replace her, why, they’re not talking this way about Schumer. It must be sexism.

So we’ve got a bunch of young Democrat socialists on the verge here of being called sexist by a CNN journalista. I hope this develops into something. I’m gonna back off talking about it too much ’cause, you know, folks, when I start talking about things, there’s a lot of people out there that don’t want me to be right. And so they will actually alter what they do so that I will not be seen as correct prognosticating their behavior.
