RUSH: I just got an email. Somebody said, “Hey, Rush, is Kavanaugh your typical rich guy, been in Washington all his life, has a lot of money?” So I checked it out. (chuckles) Folks, it’s the exact opposite. I have here a MarketWatch story: “Brett Kavanaugh May Become the ‘Poorest’ Supreme Court Justice … At least six — and perhaps as many as all eight…” They’re not counting Kennedy since he’s retired. “At least six — and perhaps as many as all eight — U.S. Supreme Court justices are worth at least $1 million, according to the Center for Public Integrity.

“Not Kavanaugh… As of December 31, Kavanaugh had between $15,001 and $50,000 in an interest-bearing Bank of America account, and less than $15,000 in Vanguard funds within a 401(k)… He has fully paid off a loan from a thrift savings plan, as well as a credit-card account from” JPMorgan Chase. “Not every Supreme Court justice has such a bland portfolio. … None of the justices are required to disclose [the value of] their home.”

This is an interest bearing account of between $15,000 and $50,000, and an account less than $15,000 in Vanguard funds. We’re… This is a net worth, not counting the home, of under $100,000! This guy’s been in Washington his whole life. How do you do that? (interruption) No! He must be incredibly honest! (interruption) What do you mean, “gambling problem”? Don’t say that. This guy’s gotta be incredibly honest to be in D.C. all of these years with this influence and…? This is incredible! It’s worth knowing.
