RUSH: We have economic news that’s just out the wazoo here, folks. Let me give you a summary of this economic news. And it’s gonna be ignored in the way I am presenting it to you. You may get raw data, raw numbers here, a number of people working, a number of new claims of unemployment, number of new jobs, this kind of thing.

Since Election Day, the American economy has added 3.7 million jobs. That’s a year and a half, folks. Since Election Day 2016 — well, it’s coming up on two years since the election. Maybe 1.75 years, the American economy has added 3.7 million jobs, 601,000 more Americans have entered the labor force, a total of 155,576,000 Americans are working. It is a record high. The jobs report for June has beaten forecasts, added 213,000 jobs. There is no doubt, it is crystal clear that Trump economics works and is sustaining.

So now I take you to a news story from the Washington Examiner, the headline: “Dems Blast Booming Jobs Report, Trump Worker Agenda, ‘Reckless’ — Democrats saw nothing positive in the new June jobs report that highlighted 213,000 new jobs added. Instead, the Democratic Party issued a statement criticizing President Trump’s jobs agenda as ‘reckless.'”

How in the world — I mean, of all the things that you might want to say about it, what, there are too many jobs? Too many jobs? There’s too much competition for workers which raises wages? Nancy Pelosi: “The June #JobsReport shows what is at stake from the brewing storm of rising health costs, spiraling trade uncertainty & an economy being hollowed out to enrich big corporations & the wealthiest 1 percent. Americans deserve better than the GOP’s raw deal.”

How in the world do you get that? How in the world do you turn a booming economy with 3.7 million new jobs since the election into a raw deal? Related to rising health care costs, trade uncertainty, an economy being hollowed out to enrich big corporations? Look. The people getting jobs are people that didn’t have jobs during the Obama administration.

Here’s the Democrat National Committee statement. “After the U.S. Department of Labor released the latest jobs and unemployment numbers, DNC Chair and former Labor Secretary Tom Perez released the following statement: ‘With slow wage growth, rising health care premiums, and skyrocketing gas prices across the country, Donald Trump’s reckless policies are hurting millions of hardworking families. Trump and Republicans in Congress have been so determined to undermine workers that they held a Supreme Court seat hostage for nearly a year –‘” (laughing) These people!

Folks, I know the left like nobody does and this is deranged. I’m telling you, I can predict on a daily basis what the left is gonna do, what they’re gonna say, how they’re gonna react. My most recent prediction, I told you within moments of Anthony Kennedy’s retirement that the Democrats would say Trump has no business picking a replacement or any other judge while the Russia investigation’s going on. It took 30 minutes for that prediction to come true.

I could not have predicted this. To find 3.7 new jobs, 601,000 additional people working, and this is now reckless. This is reckless. It’s hurting millions of hardworking families.

“This is all part of the Republican playbook,” Perez said. “For decades, Republicans and their wealthy corporate allies have been chipping away at workers’ rights, weakening unions, and depressing wages – all while giving massive tax cuts to the top 1%.”

This is comical. This is how bereft they are. This is how vacant. What’s their solution? Government needs to get bigger? This is all bad, too many jobs created that government had nothing to do with? Health care costs skyrocking. Do you realize, folks, what a dramatic shift — I mean, as recently as Obama administration they were talking about the economy and trying to say that it was great in order to boost Obama.

It has been traditional that back pocket issues have been largely a determining factor for who wins elections. Now, I understand they’re not gonna give Trump credit for anything, I understand that, but the way to go about it is certainly not to call it reckless and irresponsible and somehow benefiting only the top 1%, when people all over the country who not only did they not have jobs during Obama, they were told not to expect them.

In fact, let’s go back to the audio sound bites. Go back and grab sound bite No. 5. Here is Barack Obama. This is during the campaign when Trump promised to do exactly what he has delivered. Trump promised to deliver, and he has. On June 1, 2016, PBS ran a special, “Questions for President Obama.” It was a town hall in Elkhart, Indiana, and a Carrier employee said, “Look, I’m representing a steelworkers union.

“I’m trying to find out what do we have left. All our jobs are leaving Indianapolis. I see here you’re doing a lot of things, but in Indianapolis there’s nothing there for us. I mean, what’s next? What can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs, employment, whatever, because all of our jobs have he left or are in the process of leaving. So what can we do, Mr. Obama?”

OBAMA: [S]ome of those jobs of the past are just not gonna come back. And when somebody says — like the person you just mentioned, who I’m not gonna advertise fo’ — that he’s gonna bring all these jobs back? Well, how exactly are y’gonna do that? What’re you gonna do? There’s no answer to it. He just says, “I’m gonna negotiate a better deal.” (stammering) Well, how…? What…? How exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he duh’n’t have’n answer.

RUSH: Right. Who is it that looks like the blithering idiot? Who looks like the abject pessimist that he was? I mean, here people gathered in Elkhart, Indiana, and Obama can’t even give them any kind of hope. He can’t even say, “You live in the greatest country on earth. We’re gonna come back! We’re gonna make it. We’re gonna be great.” He can’t even say that, because Obama is not planning on that, or was not planning on that. That’s why there was pessimism galore during the Obama years because there was no optimism being promised or assured by people in Washington, certainly not from him or from his administration.

Now, we’ve had a total repudiation of Obamaism. We have had a total repudiation of Obama’s eight years. The Barack Obama presidency has been fully rejected and reputed and demonstrated to have been a disaster. So I guess what are the Democrats gonna do but to try to characterize Trump’s success as somehow phony and reckless and damaging because government’s not involved enough. But man, oh, man. And then you couple this with we’ve got polling data: Immigration is the No. 1 issue even ahead of the economy for a vast majority of Americans, and not in the way that’s gonna benefit the Democrat Party.

Now, a lot of people are concerned about the new trade war with China. I would suggest everybody calm down here and understand what the objective is. The objective is to lower trade barriers eventually and to promote a freer form of trade. Also keep in mind one of the Trump tactics is to really start out with massive expectations and demands in hopes of eventually getting to where he wants to be. We’re at the beginning stages of this, and there’s a lot that needs to be fixed.

Do you know, for example, that in China, American companies are not permitted to own more than 49% of the company? That has to change. These are the various trade barriers that the ChiComs have that we don’t, same thing with the European Union, have to change. This is the beginning of the process to make that happen. The ChiComs are running around, “This the biggest trade war we’ve ever had. It’s horrible.”

Nobody around the world ever expected the United States to do anything but continue to act like the world’s piggy bank, and here comes Donald Trump, and he’s simply saying, “Look, this is about one thing. It’s about making America great again. All that other stuff is superfluous. That’s my one singular objective,” and it’s what he’s focused on. And to date, he’s bringing it back and making it happen. The Democrats are speechless, the media is speechless, and they’re getting more and more extreme in their efforts to get rid of Trump — and those are not gonna abate.

They’re gonna continue.

RUSH: The Hispanic and Latino unemployment rate has reached a new all-time record low. In June, it’s 4.6%, down from 4.9% in May. The Latino-Hispanic unemployment rate hit its lowest level ever on record in June just last month at 4.6%. African-American unemployment is also historically near a record low. I mean, it is… Folks, this is the entire Obama administration being reputed, being rejected, being shown to be egregiously wrong.

The amount of economic activity, the uptick here, the things that have happened since just the 2016 election are literally mind-boggling. One more time. Since the election of 2016, the American economy has added 3.6 million jobs and 601,000 more Americans entered the labor force. The labor force participation rate is the number that expresses that, and it was constantly rising under Obama. People were dropping out of the workforce, the labor force at record levels. Now they’re coming back. Now they’re getting jobs. Now they’re going back to work.

The Democrat Party calls this very reckless.

Trump economics is working, and it is sustaining.

RUSH: Have you heard, folks, there is a major medical group in Chicago. The group has not been identified. We all know who they are but they’ve not identified themselves. They have a convention every year, and they’re scheduled to have their convention in San Francisco. They called the San Francisco convention center, they said, “We’re not coming.”

San Francisco said, “Why not?”

“Because we don’t want to wade through mountains of human feces out there, and we don’t want to have to trip over a homeless person, you know, every other block, every other step. We don’t want to run into all these hypodermic syringes lying loose on the street. We don’t want any part of it. What in the world are you doing? You’ve got maps identifying where the human feces have been dumped on the street. We’re not going. We’re medical people. It’s unsanitary.” So they’re not going. And the people that run that town, we’re told they’re the enlightened ones, they are the ones who care.

I’m telling you, they are fit to be tied Trump beat them, and now Trump is beating them in policy. Trumpism is working demonstrably, undeniably, with sustainability, and in the process demonstrating that everything they believed in like during the Obama years was abjectly wrong.
