RUSH: Did you hear about the latest controversy with Roseanne Barr? Do you know who Wanda Sykes… First, do you know who Wanda Sykes is? (interruption) Wanda Sykes is the comedienne who wished that I would get, what, kidney cancer? Kidney cancer, liver cancer, something, at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She was hoping I’d get liver cancer or kidney cancer and die or some such thing. She is a radical, angry, African-American comedienne.

Well, I didn’t know this… But she is a consulting producer for the Roseanne show, which I didn’t know. Well, anyway, Roseanne said some things about Valerie Jarrett the other day that have the left in a bit of a tizzy. Roseanne Barr said that Valerie Jarrett is what you would get if “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.” [sic] Out of nowhere! I mean, why is Valerie Jarrett even on her mind? Do you know who Valerie Jarrett is?

Valerie Jarrett is Obama’s “body woman.” Meaning, wherever Obama went, this woman was. No, no, no, it’s not… There’s nothing affair-like. She’s just… (interruption) I mean, yeah. (sigh) I don’t… (interruption) I’ve never heard anything about that. Well, not that we would hear. I mean, if that kind of thing was going, you know damn well they would suppress that. But we had Reggie Love, who is the body man. But Valerie Jarrett — who is Iranian. Valerie Jarrett was the policy go-to, whenever Obama.

I mean, I read that she moved in with the Obamas when they left the White House and bought their house in Kalorama in Washington, D.C. I heard she moved in! (interruption) Well, “strange,” I don’t know. Yeah, I guess it is, but we’re not of that particular bent, so who knows. But the bottom line is that she’s close. Policy close. I mean, she is the policy guru close. She’s not a gopher body person like Reggie Love might have been. You know, she not carrying the luggage around. She’s not making sure everything gets packed for the trip.

She’s in there on every policy discussion. So here’s Roseanne Barr… I don’t know. Roseanne must have some knowledge of whatever Valerie Jarrett did or is doing and disagrees with it, because this… Valerie Jarrett’s what you get when the “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.” Anyway, Wanda Sykes says that she no longer gonna be part of the hit show. She’s not gonna be part of Roseanne anymore.

I wonder, how long will Disney put up with this? I mean, Disney has got to do something about this. This is Roseanne. This is their No. 1 show. But here’s Roseanne out there ripping into our lord and savior, The One, Barack Hussein O. (interruption) Oh, she did? She apologized? (interruption) Oh, well, I didn’t… I’m behind the times then. I didn’t… (interruption) Profuse apologies? (interruption) Oh, I see now. “‘I apologize… I am leaving Twitter.'”

“She has since apologized for the racially charged remark and said she is leaving Twitter. “I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans,” and the Muslim Brotherhood. “I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.” [sic] Maybe she’s auditioning for the White House correspondents gig next year. Never know.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I told you. What did I just say? What did I just say ABC canceled the Roseanne show. ABC has canceled Roseanne after the racist tweets about Valerie Jarrett looking like the product of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Planet of the Apes. So they just canceled their hot new show. Roseanne is histoire.

Meanwhile, April Ryan can run around and say some of the most disgusting — have you heard what April Ryan — She’s a journalist at something called the Urban Network. She’s out there saying that Donald Trump is running a child sex ring. She’s on CNN. She’s on CNN as a political commentator accusing Trump of running a child sex ring.

Now, I don’t know if she actually thinks this and said it or if she’s trying to — this woman is a — April Ryan is a conniving strategerist. And wasn’t there some controversy about some wacko right-wing people saying that Obama was running a child sex or Hillary or somebody, the Washington, D.C., pizzeria, who was it that was said to be running a child sex ring out of that pizza shop? Hillary? Well, I just wonder if April Ryan isn’t playing a little trick here, you know, and doing a reverse allegation, kind of like her own version of Operation Chaos except much less sophisticated.

But nevertheless she’s out there, she said it, she has not said it was a joke, and she’s on CNN, she’s a White House correspondent. I mean, she’s in there in the press corps every day, and no reaction. I mean, all these leftists, one of the things that they had to say about Sarah Huckabee and Sarah Palin, nothing happens, here comes Roseanne. Well, I guess this was destined to be. I told you. I mean, did I not or did I not ask you, Bob Iger can’t put up with this. I tell you, Bob Iger can’t put up with — chairman of Disney, head Mickey Mouse.

And now Roseanne and the show are gone. The apology didn’t work. The apology didn’t matter. Where does Roseanne get this stuff, by the way? I mean, do you think Roseanne’s sitting out there on her own, comes up with this line that Valerie Jarrett looks like what you would get if the Muslim Brotherhood married Planet of the Apes? I don’t know. I don’t know. You know, there’s so much crackpot stuff out there on the internet, and you don’t know who’s reading what and believing it. It’s a cesspool out there, folks.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: “Abhorrent, repugnant, and inconsistent with our values.” That’s what ABC said when canceling Roseanne’s TV show, that her comment was “abhorrent, repugnant, and inconsistent with our values.” Hey, it’s ABC. They can do whatever they want. Fine and dandy. “But what about Roseanne’s freedom of speech? What about Roseanne’s freedom of speech? What about Colin Kaepernick’s freedom of speech?” So ABC can can Roseanne, and that’s fine and dandy, but the NFL can’t say, “We don’t want a malcontent like Kaepernick.”

The NFL should hire a guy who’s gonna infuriate the fans by disrespecting the flag and the country, and the left says the NFL should hire that guy, then a Black Lives Matter activist is trying to organize a boycott of the whole season by NFL stars. And yet here comes ABC, offended by a tweet that Roseanne put out… In case you missed this tweet, what Roseanne said was that Valerie Jarrett is a cross — is what you would get — if the Muslim Brotherhood got together with the Planet of the Apes.

So ABC canceled the show. She’s gone, “abhorrent, repugnant, inconsistent with our values.” But yet, “The NFL should hire…?They don’t have the right! They shouldn’t be able to get rid of somebody like Kaepernick or anybody else who’s gonna infuriate the fan base.” Would somebody tell me the difference? And, by the way, I am not equating the two. We’re talking here about identical laws, philosophies, powers, what have you. We’re talking about hypocrisy on the left.

The same people who are applauding Bob Iger getting rid of Roseanne are the same people ripping the NFL for not hiring Colin Kaepernick. Now, what’s worse to you, what Roseanne said about Valerie Jarrett and the Planet of the Apes and Muslim Brotherhood or a guy that refuses to acknowledge the flag and the country? What’s worse? I will guarantee you this: That there are more people… Well, I don’t have any… There are a hell of a lot of people as offended by what Kaepernick and his clown buddies are doing as are offended by what Roseanne said.

Roseanne is a comedian. If Roseanne had said this at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, she would be a hero. Ah, I take it back. It would… No, she wouldn’t, ’cause it’s about Obama. (interruption) Yeah. Wanda Sykes can hope that I get some disease and die and be applauded for it and get big laughs at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. You get the hypocrisy here? (interruption) Uh, well, Joy Behar’s had her share of anti-Christian remarks? I mean, making comments about Christian people being, you know, reprobates.

Yeah, kooks, you know, what have you. In fact, you know, there’s a lot of stuff over time that’s been on The View that’s probably worse than what Roseanne said. I guarantee you the problem with what Roseanne said is the target. If Roseanne had said this about Melania Trump — you know, a cross between a space alien and, you know, take your pick — then she would still be on the air. She’d be applauded and so forth, but she would have lost a lot of fans.
