RUSH: Have you seen the story the White House doctor — well, Trump’s former personal doctor — Harold Bornstein? Harold Bornstein said that Trump’s lead security guy, Keith Schiller, and somebody else raided his doctor’s office and took Trump’s medical records. The White House says: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. “The White House says President Donald Trump’s former bodyguard did nothing out of the ordinary when he took possession of the president’s medical records, the White House said Tuesday, despite the claim by Trump’s former doctor that the episode felt like a ‘raid.'”

It ought to read: Despite the claim of the hysterical news media… “Harold Bornstein, Trump’s longtime personal doctor, told NBC News that Keith Schiller, the president’s longtime bodyguard and former director of Oval Office operations, showed up at his office in February 2017 along with two other people to collect the records, leaving Bornstein feeling ‘raped, frightened and sad,'” and then Bornstein… (laughing) I’m sorry. I had to laugh at this. I know a lot of people are going to be very upset and agitated by this.

Bornstein is saying… Remember, he wrote a letter saying that Trump had perfect health. It was “released by the campaign in 2015, and the letter from [Trump’s doctor] said that Trump would be ‘the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.’ ‘The best health any candidate had ever been in,'” is what the letter said, “‘and if the candidate goes on to win, the best health of any president in the history of the country.'” (laughing) What the doctor says now is Trump dictated the letter to him. (laughing)

Trump dictated it! I’m sorry, I have to laugh at this. Bornstein’s saying he dictated that whole letter on the phone. ‘I didn’t write that letter.’ … ‘Mr. Trump has had a recent complete medical examination that showed only positive results. Actually, his blood pressure, 110/65, and laboratory test results were astonishingly excellent. … His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary,’ the letter said.

“‘If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.’ Bornstein told NBC News the characterization of ‘healthiest’ was ‘black humor.’ Trump read out the language as Bornstein and his wife were driving across Central Park…” (laughing) Trump dictated it! (laughing) I can see it. I can see it. But to me it adds to the charm. It’s just who this guy is. If we were hearing that had Obama done something like this, the odds are that we’d be all outraged and so forth.

But this to me is just… What am I…? (sigh) Well, with everything else going on, this is not the kind of stuff that I have the capacity to get mad at, not with what Mueller is doing and not with the stacked deck the Drive-By Media has become. Everything must be put in with a sense of proportion here, and obviously this doctor’s got his nose out of joint over something. Something has turned this guy against Trump. I have no idea what it is.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, look. The doctor signed the letter. I don’t care whether Trump dictated it or not, the doctor signed it. How many of you have needed a letter or something from somebody, you know, for a resume, job application, some such thing, and the person that you asked to write it, “Would you just go ahead and write it and I’ll sign it?” How many times has that happened to you?

In one of my first two books, I forget which one, there were a couple people I wanted to write little blurbs, so I asked ’em, “Can I send you the galleys, you read –”

“Look, just write what you want me to say and I’ll sign it.”

I said, “Really? You want me to write your blurb?”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Otherwise I’ll probably forget. Just write it, send to me, let me see it, and I’ll okay it.”

I don’t know how common it is, but it happened. Now, apparently Borenstein’s nose is out of joint because he was fired. He wanted to be Trump’s personal physician at the White House. The AP piece that quotes the doctor saying Trump dictated the best health of any elected president ever.

Borenstein told NBC that Trump’s longtime personal secretary called him after the New York Times story about Trump taking Propecia ran and said, “So you wanted to be the White House doctor? Forget it. You’re out, because apparently the doctor divulged a medication Trump was taking.” Trump wasn’t happy about it. So now the doctor’s nose is out of joint because he wanted the White House doctor gig and didn’t get it.
