Twitter CEO and Other Stupid Leftists Want to Eliminate Conservatives

by Rush Limbaugh - Apr 9,2018

RUSH: Did you see what this CEO of Twitter said? Jack Dorsey is his name. He’s the guy that invented or founded Twitter. You know these social media sites, Zuckerberg creates Facebook while at Harvard. It’s a roundabout way of getting girls. And it blows up and becomes this gigantic enterprise with two billion users.

The whole point of it became to collect the data on every user and give it to your friends, like Obama. I’m still blown away by the fact that the tech media and the leftists are driving around wandering around writing about all the horrors that happened with Cambridge Analytica. Fifty million people might have had their data purloined and used somehow, but nobody still brings up the fact that Obama was working with Zuckerberg and all of Facebook’s user data was given to the Obama campaign, in two different campaigns, primarily in 2012. From 2011 to 2012, Facebook and Obama’s campaign were inseparable. And Obama’s campaign was given access to every Facebook user there is, and when it was reported it made news, everybody involved was called a genius!

Now, last week I talked about the undeniable fact that what we’re dealing with, as one of the seminal problems we have in our culture, is stupidity, or ill-education, or ignorance, or what have you. But I think using the word “stupid” may have more impact here because it’s considered to be a greater insult. But maybe it isn’t because how can you be blamed for not knowing what you’ve never learned? How can you be blamed for not knowing what nobody’s ever told you?

I’m here to tell you that every media spot running around wringing its hands over what happened with Cambridge Analytica is not telling, is not reporting that the Obama campaign got every Facebook user in the 2012 campaign. They don’t even know it! Unless they saw the New York Times story some years ago. Which is not being reposted and recirculated. No, it’s being shelved. It’s being hidden so that they can get away with creating this nonstory over Cambridge Analytica and how horrible Trump is and how the Russians — did you hear the latest about the whistle-blower?

Get this. The whistle-blower from Cambridge Analytica now says he thinks — he can’t prove it — he thinks that all of the stolen data is in Russia. (laughing) The stupidity is just geometrically multiplying here. I was watching television last night, I watched Billions. You watch Homeland. Great shows being totally ruined by what leftists actually think is true! And they’re putting what they think is true, the biggest stupid things you can imagine are now ending up as serious plot lines by liberal and leftist writers who believe all these things, and you can’t escape it.

And if you want to try to ignore it just to watch these TV shows and be entertained, it’s very tough because they cram it down your throat, in your face. They just cram it on you. Do you watch Billions, any of you? It was a great show, and elements of it still are. But now they’ve got this attorney general who is a caricature of Sessions, who is the biggest hayseed, hick that you can imagine, and he’s trying to tell the star of the show, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York and Manhattan, which cases to ignore, which cases to prosecute.

And in one shot last night — a spoiler alert. Have you seen last night’s episode? All right. Well, this is not gonna tell you anything other than the scene set. The attorney general is on the phone to Chuck Rhodes, who is the U.S. attorney, Southern District New York, played by Paul Giamatti. The attorney general is named Jeff Leftcoat or some such thing. Clancy Brown is the character.

And he’s sitting in his office in the dark cleaning his rifle, while telling Chuck what they do in Texas with dogs that don’t stop yapping. “Chuck, you don’t just muzzle those dogs that don’t stopping yapping. You put the shock collar on ’em, Son, you put the shock collar on ’em ’til they get the message. You know what I’m saying to you, Chuck?” You know, so Chuck can’t stand this guy’s from Texas, he’s meant to be a Sessions caricature.

Anyway, I don’t want to give too much of it away, but the things they believe are just crazy and stupid. This Russia collusion, there’s no evidence for it, and everybody on the left, they believe it. This has been my point to people who want to laugh at it. You have to at times, but they believe it and it’s a problem.

Anyway, the thing about Jack Dorsey at Twitter. Jack Dorsey read an article by a couple leftist professors and retweeted it thinking, “Man, this is a great read.” You know what it is? It’s a very long, serious piece on how the only solution the United States has is to simply eliminate the Republican Party, just get rid of it, that California is the model. If we want to save America and if we want America to actually be great, we need to model the rest of the country after California and simply get rid of the GOP and conservatism.

They make the point that I do, that there’s no commonality, there’s no common ground, there’s no reason negotiate. Another story today talks about how we now have the creation of basically two medias that do not overlap and that it is silly for us to think there is any hope of bipartisanship. And I happen to believe that, by the way. But I don’t have the same conclusion this piece I’m referring to has. So the CEO of Twitter is retweeting this thing calling for essentially the end of the GOP. Not how, but basically they say we’re already in the second civil war. It’s been underway for a long time.

They trace it back to the late 80’s, Mr. Snerdley. I wonder why? They trace it back to the late 80’s, and they claim that the only way to save this country is simply get rid of the Republican Party, like the North got rid of the South and neutered them in the Civil War. Simply overrun, just get rid of them, they don’t exist anymore. The things they believe in are not allowed to happen, be discussed or anything. It’s the only solution the left sees. These are just two random professors, but the CEO of Twitter is retweeting it as a great read. And you couple that with Twitter, what we already have known because of O’Keefe’s secret videos of how they shadow ban people.

In other words, Twitter’s in the process of doing what the CEO thinks is a great thing, eliminating the GOP, conservatism. Facebook is too. Facebook and Twitter are at this moment eliminating conservative sites and not allowing them. They’re shadow banning, meaning they’re not really banning ’em — well, they are. Ted Cruz will tweet something out and nobody sees it because they’ve banned it, but there’s nothing official. It’s just Cruz is tweeting to an empty room, essentially.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, I mentioned earlier in the program that Jack Dorsey, who is the founder, creator, inventor, and now CEO of Twitter, had retweeted that he thought a book he had recently read, or read parts of, was great. And by retweeting it and by calling it great, many people thought he was pushing it, recommending it. The book is entitled — let’s see. What is the title book? Well, damn. I’m not sure. The headline for the column that touches on the book, ” The Great Lesson of California in America’s New Civil War — Why there’s no bipartisan way forward at this juncture in our history  —  one side must win.”

Now, some of this these guys I think are what I’ve talked about the Middle East peace process, I’ve said it’s silly to think we’re gonna solve this with doctors, nurses, clean water and all that, that this is gonna go on until one side wins and one side surrenders. And I mean, militarily. And I’ve always believed that. Well, that’s what these guys are saying about the United States.

Their names are Peter Leyden and Ruy Teixeira, and they both believe that we are already in a civil war in this country and that the only objective the left should have is the elimination of the GOP. The elimination of conservatism, simply wipe it out. And their model for this is the state of California, that leftists and Democrats should take what has happened in California where the Republican Party essentially ceases to exist, and do that all across the United States, essentially, to effectively win this second civil war.

Let me give you a couple excerpts here. “The next time you call for bipartisan cooperation in America and long for Republicans and Democrats to work side by side, stop it. Remember the great lesson of California, the harbinger of America’s political future, and realize that today such bipartisan cooperation simply can’t get done. In this current period of American politics, at this juncture in our history, there’s no way that a bipartisan path provides the way forward. The way forward is on the path California blazed about 15 years ago.”

By the way, I agree with this premise. And it’s not new! How often have you heard me say even recently that I don’t see any overlap of common ground? Where do we meet them halfway? Where do we compromise with these people? My point is they have to be defeated politically, not worked with, not compromised with, not met, you know, across the aisle.

And I think I’m probably a minority of thinking in conservatism. I know I’m a minority of thinking in the Republican Party. But even in conservatism, I think most people on our side, conservative and then in the Republican Party, do not even like hearing this idea that there’s no overlap and nothing in common. But, folks, there isn’t. And it’s becoming abundantly clear. We’re on the way to having two separate medias, if you will. We’re on the way to having two separate education systems. We lag behind in both, having only gotten started on the New Media in 1988. But these guys, these leftist professors are dead serious about this.

“In the early 2000s, California faced a similar situation to the one America faces today. Its state politics were severely polarized, and state government was largely paralyzed. The Republican Party was trapped in the brain-dead orthodoxies of an ideology stuck in the past. The party was controlled by zealous activists and corrupt special interests who refused to face up to the reality of the new century. It was a party that refused to work with the Democrats in good faith or compromise in any way.

“The solution for the people of California was to reconfigure the political landscape and shift a supermajority of citizens — and by extension their elected officials — under the Democratic Party’s big tent. The natural continuum of more progressive to more moderate solutions then got worked out within the context of the only remaining functioning party. The California Democrats actually cared about average citizens, embraced the inevitable diversity of 21st-century society, weren’t afraid of real innovation, and were ready to start solving the many challenges of our time, including climate change.”

Uhhh, the Democrats anywhere don’t actually care about average citizens. That’s one of the greatest political myths that most people have fallen for. They don’t care about people. It’s the exact opposite. They do not have love. Look at what happens to their voters. Look at how mad their voters are always. Look at how unhappy their voters are. Even in California, where they run the show! San Francisco, where they run the show, there is misery, there is crap all over the streets, maps now to tell people how to avoid it. There’s so much excrement on the streets, there’s so many syringes, there’s so much homelessness.

LA has become a homelessness capital. The Democrats that live in these places are livid, they are angry. They have opened their borders, they’re allowing illegal immigrants, criminals to walk among every other citizen committing whatever crimes they do commit. Nothing happens to them. They are filled with rage and hatred that there is any opposition at all. And no matter how much they win, they are never satisfied.

Why would anybody want that? To say that the Democrats in California or anywhere else care for people and have all this compassion? You cannot say you care for people when your fundamental ideology deprives them of their own ambition, of their dignity, and of their opportunity to be the best they can be. And that is precisely what socialism and the Democrat Party do. They deny people the opportunity to find out how good they are at anything. They deny people the chance to be the best. They deny people the chance to pursue their interests.

They instead seek to convert every one of their voters into a victim of something so that they then are rendered helpless and dependent totally on the Democrat Party. To call that compassion is the same thing as giving a homeless person a shopping cart and telling him you’ve given him a home. It’s one of the greatest myths in American politics that the Democrat Party and the American left cares about people.

Now, I suppose if you’re gonna get behind the transgender movement, let ’em use whatever bedroom you want, call that caring about people, then have at it. If you want to help people in their mental illnesses or in their perversions be free and able and clear to do it, whatever they want, then go ahead and have at it. If you want to call that compassion, if you want to have no morality, no guardrails, if you want to have no sense of right and wrong and call that happiness and freedom and contentment, then you go ahead and try it.

But you’re not making people happy and it doesn’t stems from caring about people. It all stems from caring about yourself. This article prints out to eight pages. I’m not gonna do nearly all of it. There are subheads, understanding the context of the new American civil war, two systems at odds, two classes at odds, two cultures at odds. And then a detailed definition and examples of the current American civil war and the means of winning it, definition of winning it, which is the elimination of the Republican Party, just like California. The article praises California for balancing its budget and having a budget surplus. It doesn’t have either.

But that’s not the point. The point is the Twitter CEO loved this and retweeted it. All of his followers and likes or whatever. Thought it was great stuff. And you combine this with Cloward-Piven and another of other things happening at the community organizer level, the Democrat Party, this is exact — it is already underway. They I think in their own minds are conducting, are fighting the second American civil war. And we are the enemy. We’re a bigger enemy than ISIS, a bigger enemy than Al-Qaeda, a bigger enemy than any foreign threat.
