RUSH: This could be a game-changer. At least in France. Guys who comment on a woman’s body or appearance in public may soon face government fines.

A penalty of about 100 dollars for each violation will be issued to anyone who: “infringes the freedom of movement of women in public spaces and undermines self-esteem and the right to security.”

Apparently, things are so bad in French cities that “women are opting to wear trousers instead of skirts for fear of being groped.” So now, men who follow women down streets, or block their path, or make loud and lewd comments about the way women look, will be fined. Even if they compliment them.

The bill will go to Parliament next week. It was conceived by France’s Secretary of State for Equality. Who is a looker… oh wait, can’t say that. Never mind. And its subjective anyway, she might not be a looker to you.

Folks, it doesn’t matter if it works or not. It will be hailed as a success. And it’s only a matter of time before feminists try to import it here. In the name of equality and justice.

So bring it! I have a long history of opposing anything that “infringes” on the freedom of a woman’s movement. Especially if I’m walking behind it. And noticing it. Oh yes.
