RUSH: President Trump tweeted that Democrats were threatening to shut down the government and hold the military hostage over illegal immigration. He showed that he's ready and willing to put the blame where it belongs: squarely on the Democrats. And now the Republicans have some courage. President is not afraid to fight and it appears to be contagious. Hopefully.
RUSH: Nancy Pelosi has called for John Conyers to resign. Now, I want to put on my liberal-progressive media hat and tell you what this headline would be if it were a Republican woman suggesting that some guy resign, "White Woman of Privilege Tells Hospitalized Black Icon to Resign."
RUSH: The entirety of the Drive-By Media teetering on the brink of ruin, and it is Trump who is delusional, it is Trump losing his mind. No. These people are losing theirs. Cannot impress upon you how none of them ever dreamt wildly that anything like this could ever happen, no matter who was elected president. No one could have predicted this wild year. But I predicted the Senate would end up voting for the Trump tax bill.
RUSH: Don't be surprised at some of the things you might hear in the future about how, "You know what? We might have overreacted in the early days of Matt Lauer and maybe some of these things we need to reconsider," 'cause they're gonna have to try to rehab these people. I don't mean Millennial female reporters. I'm talking about the Democrat Party and the American left at large.
RUSH: The liberals have turned on McCain on Twitter after he agreed to vote for the tax bill. They are all over McCain. They’re having a fit.
RUSH: For the last 50 years, if not longer, there's been an attack on that whole premise of right and wrong and who gets to define it. And the left has lived and died with the premise that nobody but they or them get to define it, and it's an individual choice.
RUSH: I made it a point when this program started not to use activism. I was not the guy telling you to cut up your credit cards and send 'em to Mobil or Exxon. I did not urge people to call Washington. I didn't want it to be seen as artificial. And yet the media kept explaining overrun phone calls in Capitol Hill 'cause I was telling my audience to call.
RUSH: It was typical caca from the Democrat Party. What it really was: a pass-through. It was a way to get money to left-wing special interest causes. The way it did it was via fines.
RUSH: When the news broke that Matt Lauer had been fired for the reasons that he was fired, Geraldo tweeted or somehow said in the public domain that this sounded a bit extreme to him because the news business is "flirty."
RUSH: The Manafort-Mueller deal is just about his bail. It’s not about anything else.
RUSH: Emerson College poll shows Roy Moore leads by six in Alabama. There's another poll that's showing Roy Moore's lead continues now. And it's fascinating to me. If you look at many political blogs, if you look at the FiveThirtyEights, if you look at the big data analyst sites, they're now almost throwing their hands up in defeat and despair, suggesting that it's impossible for Roy Moore to lose now.
