RUSH: Let’s add something else to this, folks. We haven’t talked about it on the program. We did address this in a Morning Update commentary this week. Researchers from a university in Sweden, Lund University — these are academics, these are Ph.Ds — are suggesting that having children is one of the most destructive things you can do to the environment.

JOHNNY DONOVAN: And now, from sunny south Florida, it’s Open Line Friday!

RUSH. Open Line Friday, and we remain in top gear here at the EIB Network. “Having Children Is One Of The Most Destructive Things You Can To Do The Environment.” This is not new. This goes all the way back to when I first began tracking animal rights and environmentalist wackos with Earth First and the spotted owl.

This goes back almost 30 years, that people are the number one threat to the planet and that we need to stop having kids. It’s all part of the Paul Ehrlich population movement. They just keep recycling these things so that every generation gets inundated with it.

“Having children is the most destructive thing a person can to do to the environment, according to a new study. Researchers from Lund University in Sweden found having one fewer child per family can save ‘an average of 58.6 tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions per year.’ Eating meat, driving a car and travelling by aeroplane made up the list of the most polluting things people can do to the planet. But having children was top, according to the new study, published in the journal Environmental Research Letters,” a publication. That’s a journal for environmentalist wacko academics.

Human beings are the greatest threat known to the planet. And the thinking is that we need to get rid of a whole bunch of human beings if we’re going to save the planet. What good would the planet be if there are no human beings here to utilize it, to enjoy it, to cultivate it, to develop it? What’s the point of it if we aren’t here? (interruption) The animals? The animals are the ones that don’t clean up their messes. You want to talk pollution? Animals. They don’t have bathrooms. They don’t have sanitation. It’s the most asinine thing. But this is, again, recycled for each and every generation so they get a dose of it.
