RUSH: Stephen Hawking? Have you heard what this guy said? Stephen Hawking. Stephen Hawking. He is reputed to be the smartest man alive, is he not? Have you heard this guy’s latest, speaking of tweets or whatever he’s put out? Let me find it here. I had it. Oh, here’s another example. Somebody sent me this on July 1st.
It was somebody who opened the Weather Channel app on their phone and what they were greeted with. The Weather Channel! Now I know it’s media, I know it’s a bunch of leftists, but they claim they’re scientists. They’re meteorologists. They’re above politics. That’s the point: Nobody’s above politics on the left. They are politics, and what they are is political corruption. So for people who loaded the Weather Channel app on July 1st, they were greeted with this. “Study: Two Billion People to Be Forced From Homes.” “Study: Rising Seas to Force Billions from Home?” with a question mark after it.
It was an editor’s pick, a story that people at the Weather Channel thought their audience needed to see. They just loaded the app to get the weather for the day and they get preached to. There’s a picture of an island — a barrier island that is obviously densely populated — and it’s a scare story designed to make you think that the people living on this island are gonna die or be flooded and the island’s not gonna exist. And these are the kind of things that we’re hit with daily that nobody even notes. It’s just part of the daily routine that you see and that you run into.
“Stephen Hawking: Trump’s Single-Handedly Turning Earth into Venus — Stephen Hawking blasted President Trump’s recent decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate change agreement in a new interview, saying it ‘could push earth over the brink.’ Hawking told BBC News that Trump withdrawing the U.S. from the agreement would,” not could, would “lead to disastrous consequences worldwide. ‘We are close to the tipping point where global warming becomes irreversible,’ Hawking told BBC News. ‘Trump’s action could push the earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of 250 degrees, and raining sulphuric [sic] acid.'”
Folks, that is meteorological porn! We’re on the way to 250 degrees and sulfuric acid for rain because of Donald Trump? Now, Stephen Hawking has the respect of practically everybody ’cause he’s the smartest physicist, therefore human being, on the planet. But this is insanity. And this is just the latest. Hawking’s been saying if we don’t colonize an asteroid, if we don’t colonize Mars or the moon or something, we’re all dead and we’ve gotta do it within the next generation or we’re cooked.
This is insane.
But I’ll guaran-damn-tee you that every science teacher in America believes it. Junior high, middle school, whatever you call it, grade school, I bet you when they see stuff like this Stephen Hawking is like Bill Nye the Science Guy. He’s an irrefutable source to these people. We’re living in dangerous times. The left has so succeeded in dumbing down people that they have even dumbed down themselves. They’ve dumbed down their professoriate. They’ve dumbed down their commentariat. They have dumbed down practically everybody in their ranks.
They have filled them with paranoia and fear, and this CNN incident is simply a microcosmic example of how the corruption of the left has occurred, and it’s been going on for a long, long, long time. But I’m just telling you: The people that I’m talking about are not the kind of people you sustain a culture with. They’re not the kind of people you build a great nation on. These are not the people who you will ever call “the backbone of America.” They don’t have what it takes. But don’t tell them that because they think that they are the single, best, last great hope.
It is astounding to watch this. By the way, that 250 degrees that Hawking was speaking about? That’s Celsius. That’s 428 degrees Fahrenheit. The earth is gonna be 428 degrees! If 250 degrees doesn’t get you, how about 428? But even if you could escape the heat, even if you could pollute the planet further with air-conditioning, it’s still gonna rain sulfuric acid on you. It’s gonna drop on your head and you’ll turn dead. Stephen Hawking. “By denying the evidence for climate change and pulling out of Paris, Trump will cause avoidable environmental damage.”
By the way, he says we’re nearing the point where it’s irreversible. I can’t tell you how many times over the course of this program that we have been within a year of irreversibility. We’ve been given 10 years back in the 1980s. We’ve been given 20 years in the mid-1980s. We were given 10 years in 1993 by Algore. At what point does the world realize that every one of these people is wrong? The oceans should be uninhabitable by now. The earth should be dying off and millions, billions of people dying from starvation by now if these people were right.
The Atlantic Ocean should have risen two or three feet by now. Antarctica and the Arctic Circle should pretty much have melted. Where are these people still credible? Not a single one of their predictions has come true. Not a single one of them! I’m not just talking about the environment. Any of their predictions. Not a single one of them has come true. Why do they still have credibility? Why can somebody stand up and say Trump pulling out of Paris is gonna lead to temperatures of 428 degrees and sulfuric acid rain? Why is that person still respected and given credence?
Why? Well, I’m asking the questions rhetorically. He’s brilliant, but it furthers the political agenda. It doesn’t matter if it’s right, just like Trump colluding with Russia, it doesn’t matter. They’re just using — they thought Trump would be gone by now. Everything that they have plotted. Folks, you have to understand, the ultimate expression, the ultimate realization of left-wing victory is Republicans losing elections, and losing elections to the point that there aren’t any Republicans anymore.
And what is happening? It’s the exact opposite. Democrats are losing elections. Everything that these people hold dear, everything they think they believe in have told people is true is just turning on them. They can’t get rid of Trump. They can’t force people to disrespect Trump any more than they already did in the divisions that occurred normally and naturally in the election. They are failing at virtually every project they have in the long term.
Again, look, I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but it’s not just in the media that this stuff is happening. They are rotting the greatness of the country at its core. They are trying to.
