Caller Theory: Was Obama Behind the Sony, DNC Hacks?

by Rush Limbaugh - May 15,2017

RUSH: Here’s Adrienne from Ketchikan, Alaska. Hey, Adrienne. Great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. It’s a pleasure to speak with you.

RUSH: Same here.

CALLER: Thank you for everything that you have done. Longtime listener.

RUSH: Appreciate that very, very much.

CALLER: I agree with Scott, one of the previous callers, about the media. Let them show us who they are.

RUSH: Oh, I agree. Look, it’s a dual-edged sword. I hate what they’re doing. I worry it’s effective —

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: — but at the same time I sit and I constantly hope that they’re finally being seen through by an increasing number of people.

CALLER: I believe they are. So I’m gonna go way back to the North Korean hack on Sony.

RUSH: Oh, yeah, that was juicy. When the Norks hacked Sony, oh, man the stuff we learned in that hack.

CALLER: Yes. It was a blip, and then it disappeared.

RUSH: Well, it got a couple people fired, it exposed some movie stars being frauds and so forth. I mean, that hack let us know what management thinks of talent in Hollywood. They despise it.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: They despise ’em.

CALLER: So there was the North Korean hack and then much later we heard, you know, from WikiLeaks that the CIA and FBI can hack computers and make it look like somebody else hacked into it.

RUSH: Right. This was a big leak that WikiLeaks published, and it was hacking software developed by the CIA and the FBI that was able to leave fingerprints of other countries. So the CIA could hack our election to make it look like the Russians did it.

CALLER: Correct. And now with the story from Schlapp regarding Comey and Obama and their agreement or their brotherhood that they had, I believe possibly — and I don’t consider myself a conspiracy theorist — but when they started touting that, oh, the Russians hacked into the DNC, I was like, maybe the Sony thing was a precursor, just testing to see if, you know, the Obama administration —

RUSH: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You think the Norks did not hack Sony? You think the CIA did it and left Nork fingerprints?

CALLER: That is what I’m saying.

RUSH: And you don’t think the Russians hacked the DNC? You think the CIA or the FBI or Obama did it and left Russian fingerprints?

CALLER: Amen.

RUSH: Let me tell you the sourcing that we have on this, just stay with me here.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: The outfit that has led everybody to believe that there is collusion by the Russians is an outfit called Crowdsource. Crowdsource was hired by the DNC to do a forensic exam of their hacked network, and it was Crowdsource that said they found fingerprints from two different Russian government groups that may not have been working together. That is the source, Crowdsource, that’s the entity. They did the forensic exam of the DNC computer. So you’re thinking here that whoever did the real hack was not the Russians, ’cause the Russians wouldn’t leave their own fingerprints. I mean, why do that?

CALLER: Correct.

RUSH: It had to be somebody trying to implicate them since we now know that the NSA and FBI had tools to do that. So then the question for your deeply conspiratorial mind, why would Obama want to hack his own party network?

CALLER: My thought on this is who’s given Russia all the power to begin with? Russia really hasn’t had any power since the eighties, and Hillary and everybody, they were schmoozing with the Russians, let’s reset things, and now all of a sudden the Democrats have given Russia all this power. Putin’s sitting over there happy and pretty. And, you know, it just makes you us look stupid, like we don’t have the sophistication to take care of Russia? They’ve given Russia all the power. And Obama, you had another caller who read everything that Obama said. “No, there’s no hacking. No, the Russians –”

RUSH: It was amateurish, it was not highly developed, I told Putin to cut it out.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: And Putin cut it out. That was a laugh. When Obama actually said that, I told Putin — what did you do, Mr. President, the media is asking, what did you do, what did you say? “I told him to cut it out. I told him to cut it out.” And they went, man, what a guy, he told Putin to cut it out and Putin took off his shirt to try to look brave, but he backtracked right out.

CALLER: (laughing) So I’m just, like I said, I’m not a conspiracy theorist —

RUSH: No, of course not. Of course not.

CALLER: So much of this is so fishy, and that’s why I agree with your previous caller, Scott. Was set up. They’ve been lying to us. And the other story about Trump needing to be impeached because of this ninth district thing, well, what he said on the campaign trail.

RUSH: No, no. They want to impeach Trump for nothing yet.

CALLER: Then every politician prior to Trump needs to be imprisoned, because all this stuff they lied to us about. Obama keep your —

RUSH: Well, since time is dwindling here, let me take the occasion of your call to make another point about something here. I appreciate your call, Adrienne. I don’t want you to think that I think you’re a conspiracy person at all. Why would anybody think that. Certainly not me. You know this ransomware hack that got started, that infected a whole lot of hospitals and universities and governments all over the world?

You know these guys, as an aside, they’ve only made $50,000 from it, they’re not charging much of a ransom at all, but what it is, it is a Windows exploit that is allowing these hackers to basically freeze and encrypt a computer, which makes the mistake of clicking on a link. And they’re demanding money, ransom, for the key to decrypt the computer. And some guy was playing around with it and found a way to hit the kill switch. The hackers had built a kill switch into their ransomware in case they wanted to stop it. He found it inadvertently.

I don’t have time to explain how he did it, but I will in due course.
