RUSH: Grab sound bite number 23. While all of this stuff today is going on, Comey (imitating Comey), “I’m sorry! I can’t believe, I’m so nauseous I could vomit here I can hardly sleep, I might have affected the election.” Trump’s up there meeting with a Palestine head grand pooh-bah, whose name is Mahmoud Abbas, and they had a joint I guess appearance or presser, press conference, and listen to this. This is gonna outrage — (laughing) these people are all focused on nailing Trump still with the Russians. Listen to this.
THE PRESIDENT: We’re gonna start a process. We’ve spoken to Bibi Netanyahu. We’ve spoken to many of the great Israeli leaders. We’ve spoken with many of your great representatives. Many of them are here today for lunch with us. We’ll start a process which hopefully will lead to peace. Over the course of my lifetime I’ve always heard that perhaps the toughest deal to make is the deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Let’s see if we can prove them wrong. Okay? Good.
RUSH: Right. Clinton couldn’t do it by offering, what — Arafat, offering him everything and more that he wanted. Arafat turned around and walked out, didn’t want a solution. Trump’s tackling Middle East peace today while Comey, “I have no doubt the Russians are going to be trying to affect every election.” I don’t know.
If he would do that, if somehow this outsider neophyte that doesn’t know what he’s doing is able to bring together the warring forces over there for so-called peace agreements, can you imagine the earthquake that would occur and all the think tank specialists who will no longer be needed for analysis and suggestions and all that. Anyway, that’s a big bite of an apple that he’s gonna take.
We’ll take a break and be back in just a second.
