RUSH: Now, ladies and gentlemen, may I provide for you the evidence that I believe is profound that acknowledges there was no hack of the election. And it’s just a simple reminder. In the waning days before the election, what was Hillary Clinton’s big closing argument? “How dare he suggest our election might be illegitimate.” Remember when Trump said that he would not, in that debate, on that night promise to accept the election results? And remember how they started having kittens?

Hillary Clinton closed her campaign pointing out how dare Trump suggest our election might be illegitimate. How dare he suggest our election has been hacked. He didn’t say that. I’m adding to this. So when Hillary expected to win, as all the polls were telling her she was going to win, she was out there screaming the election was totally legitimate. They weren’t talking about any hacking! They were talking about Trump not accepting the legitimate result. It’s only when she lost that this hacking meme came back to life. They didn’t even believe it during the campaign, folks.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: That’s right, my friends. The only reason the Democrats and the media today are claiming the election is illegitimate is because Hillary Clinton lost. Prior to the election, when Trump had pledged not to automatically accept the election results on the night of the last debate, they started having a cow! They started having kittens. They started talking about Trump was threatening the legitimate United States election process. That was her big closing argument. Trump was unfit, he was unsuited, and — as the big example — he’s out there suggesting the election might be illegitimate. So during the break, I went and I did a quick search here.

CNN, October 19th: “Why Trump’s Talk of a Rigged Vote Is So Dangerous.” Daily Mail, October 23rd: “‘Some People Are Sore Losers,’ Clinton Mocks Trump for ‘Rigged’ Election Claims and Says His Comments Are More Consistent with What Dictators Might Say About Their Opponents.” Fox News, October 18th, before the two quotes I just shared with you: “Obama Accuses Trump of ‘Whining’ on Vote-Rigging Claims.

From the Fox article: “Obama said the rigging claim ‘doesn’t really show the kind of leadership and toughness that you’d want out of a president — if you start whining before the game’s even over.’ Obama argued that elections are so ‘de-centralized’ that they couldn’t be rigged in the first place. Further, he said that if Trump wins, he’d expect rival Hillary Clinton to offer a ‘gracious’ concession speech and work with [Trump] — and he personally would welcome Trump for a ‘peaceful transfer of power.’ ‘That’s what Americans do,’ Obama said.”

Well, then, that world was turned upside down, because Trump won.

And all of that was forgotten.

And from the moment Trump won, all of a sudden the election was rigged. All of a sudden the Russians had something to do with it. All of a sudden, the Russians were working with Trump to rig the election! But prior to the election, the Democrats, Obama and Hillary were walking around praising legitimacy of the American electoral process and claiming it would be impossible to rig it, and that Trump was irresponsible for daring to suggest that the election might be rigged by refusing to announce (on the night of the last debate) that he would accept the results of the election.

I don’t think we need any more evidence. To me, that is the big clincher that there was no hack of our election. Because, remember, folks, the question is, all these people have been running around since the election talking about the hack, “The Russians hacked the election.” What was the big hack? Well, there wasn’t one. So what do people think the big hack was? Probably the first thing they would name would be John Podesta’s emails, and they believe the Russians were responsible for that, even though Podesta brought all that on himself.

He fell for a phishing attack in his email.

His email was not hacked.

The Russians didn’t do it.

I don’t know who sent him the phishing attack, but if he hadn’t fallen for it, his emails would never have been made public. Nobody got into his computer without him knowing it and started stealing his emails. He started the process that made that happen by falling for a phishing attack. By the way, it’s spelled P-H-I-S-H-I-N-G. I think this is the slam-dunk on all of this. This demonstrates the degree and the volume of fake news that we have had to endure, and all of this leaking by unnamed intelligence sources and others that validates some sort of investigation that’s being undertaken, looking into Trump and the Russians and hacking the election?

We have been scammed once again. We have been scammed in a major, big way. And you know what has really thrown gum into the works is Trump tweeting back that Obama had tried to hack or wiretap Trump Tower. I am convinced that that move threw these people for a loop, because in all of their gaming of the situation and all of their strategizing, they never factored that possibility. They’ve been caught up short. So Trump basically agrees with them when he says, “Well, yeah! Don’t you think it’s bad that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower?”

And the immediate reaction is, “What are you talking about? Nobody wiretapped you! What — what are you talking about? There was no investigation of you.” Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh! Wait, what? No investigation? What the hell have we been putting up with for the last five months? Now, this is more than a scam. It’s more than a sham. This is far worse than just a simple scam. And I’m just telling you again: Real-world events are the best way to expose the literal fraud that all of this has been.

Just go back… We will link to these news sources I just quoted from at RushLimbaugh.com, and you’ll be able to read for yourself. CNN, October 19th: “Why Trump’s Talk of a Rigged Vote Is So Dangerous.” Daily Mail, October 23rd: “‘Some People Are Sore Losers,’ Clinton Mocks Trump for ‘Rigged’ Election Claims and Says His Comments Are More Consistent with What Dictators Might Say…” Fox News, October 18th: “Obama Accuses Trump of ‘Whining’ on Vote-Rigging Claims.” Obama had also said on previous occasions that they had investigated the Russian so-called hacks and they hadn’t found everything.

Everybody needs to calm down, Obama said.

In this story he points out that our elections are too “decentralized,” meaning they happen in all the states and in different precincts and counties. It’s impossible for anybody to hack the outcome of the U.S. election. October 18th, October 19th, October 23rd. Then you go to the election where Hillary loses, and all of a sudden the election was rigged, and it was Hillary who would not accept the result. And it was Hillary who’d not graciously concede that night. It was Hillary. And the Democrats to this day are acting like they refuse to accept the results of the election. They haven’t given it up!

They are still trying to convince as many people as possible that it was rigged, that Trump’s illegitimate and he has no business being in the Oval Office because he and the Russians cheated. This is huge stuff here! It has been adequately demonstrated the pure phony baloney, plastic banana, good-time rock ‘n’ roller status of Obama and Hillary and the Democrats and the media in this entire story. How would they explain on October 18th, October 19th, and the 23rd mocking, laughing at, joking, impugning, insisting it’s not possible that the election could be rigged, compared to what they’re saying today?

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: One other thing. When Hillary was accusing Trump of not thinking the election was legitimate, Trump wasn’t thinking, when he was thinking about the election being rigged, he wasn’t thinking the Russians hacking. He was thinking of Democrat voter fraud, tampering with ballots. That was what was in his mind. Nobody was thinking the Russians had hacked the election until after Hillary lost, folks.
