RUSH: By the way, I don’t need any more emails about Mika Brzezinski. Snerdley, have you heard about what Mika Brzezinski said on MSNBC? (interruption) (sigh) Well, I know everything, and yet I’ve had people email me, “You know what Mika Brzezinski said? You better comment! Do you know what she said?”
Let me tell you what happened. It was on Morning Joe today on PMSNBC, and Mika Brzezinski, they’re talking about how Trump’s out there influencing public opinion. And then essentially Mika Brzezinski said, “Well, I think that’s dangerous. You know… he’s trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that’s our job.”
So she said… (interruption) Why is this news that somebody in the media thinks this? (interruption) Oh, because she had the, uh… to say it out loud? (interruption) I don’t even find that… (interruption) I don’t even… Okay. I decided I had to mention this ’cause a lot of people think it’s a big deal that Mika Brzezinski at MSNBC actually said that it is the media’s job to control what people think. Well, duh! (laughing) If that was a teachable moment, I’m happy it happened. But this, to me, is like… (interruption) Going off the rails over there? I wouldn’t know. I have nothing to compare it to.
I think Trump’s the only one that watches that show, to be honest with you. I know. I mean, I’m exaggerating a little bit there, but I know Trump watches it. But the idea that they, in their minds, are in charge of what you think? Why do you think they’re so ticked off? Of course they’re in charge of what you think, and yet you voted Trump! You didn’t vote Hillary. It’s just one of the gazillion reasons why they’re ticked off. I’m not even surprised she would admit it. I think these people long ago lost any pretense of objectivity. But it’s exciting news.
