On Friday, House Democrats tried to stop the certification of Donald Trump as president. The problem is, you have to get Senators to go along with you.

The House Democrats quoted “intelligence reports” about Putin trying to sway the election. They accused Republicans of voter suppression. They had protesters in the gallery. They had to be ejected. But not a single Democrat Senator joined the House objection, so it didn’t go anywhere. In fact, Biden got so frustrated he had to shut down this pathetic attempt, saying, “It’s over.”

Except it’s not over, folks. The Democrats aren’t going to give Trump any sort of honeymoon. They’re not going to work with him at all. Even before he takes office, Democrats in several states are trying to knock him off the ballot in 2020. They want laws to prevent “candidates who haven’t released their tax returns” from running, for example.

California Democrats already said that they will block Trump from enforcing immigration laws, and they’re serious about it. You know what they did? They hired Eric Holder to represent them as they battle Trump and the law.

The Democrats are smearing Trump’s nominees the way they always do, labeling upstanding people as “racist, bigots, homophobes.” Jeff Sessions is catching a lot of it since his confirmation hearing is one of the first.

Now, Democrats, you have to hand it to them. They know how to behave as an opposition party. You don’t need a lot of words to describe the Democrat Party’s attitude toward Donald Trump. I can sum it up for you in four words: They hope he fails. Where have we heard that before? Anybody know?
