RUSH: Here’s Debbie in Seaford, Virginia.  Great to have you on the EIB Network.  Hello.

CALLER:  Thank you, Mr. Limbaugh.  I am a first-time caller and a Rush Babe since 1989.

RUSH:  I am so thrilled to have you here.

CALLER:  Such an honor.

RUSH:  Thank you very much for that.

CALLER:  I can now cross this off my bucket list.  I’ll get right to the point.  What is the likelihood of a Trump administration investigating Obama for alleged crimes in conjunction with the Clinton Foundation?  Because if he, Obama, pardons Hillary, then doesn’t that expose possibly what is the connection to Obama?

RUSH:  It… Yeah.  You could logically, based on what we know. We know Obama used a fake name, all the while claiming he didn’t know that she had an illegal server in the basement in Chappaqua. He used a fake name, pseudonym so as not to be discovered, and then said (impression), “I find out about it when I read the fake news like the rest of you.”  But here’s the thing, Debbie. You can’t sue a president, a former president.  They’re indemnified.

That would be a nightmare if you could.  And the protocol is that if a president is not impeached while in office, then… There’s just nothing that’s gonna happen. Trump nor any other president would go after a former president like this.  That’s not to say that if Hillary’s not pardoned there might not be an investigation of the Justice Department and State to find out what went on there under the rubric of draining the swamp. But no, there won’t be any official legal pursuit of President Obama by the Trump administration.

CALLER:  Could it be a way to expose the gross abuse of office by the Democrats?

RUSH:  To conduct such an investigation?

CALLER:  Absolutely.

RUSH:  Well, you could do that, I guess, but you wouldn’t do that under the auspices of an FBI otherwise legal investigation.  You would impanel some blue ribbon commission that is operating under the auspices of the inspectors generals in what you are gonna call a clean sweep of the government bureaucracies to root out whatever has been going on for the purpose of fixing it.  You don’t specify anybody or anything.  You just say that we’re gonna go in and Hoover this place and whatever we deal with, we’ll report to you.

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.

RUSH:   I don’t know… With as much energy as Trump’s gonna have to focus… Remember, before we can do anything, we have to stop the direction we’re headed now. If you look at the country now as a giant ship, before we can turn it around and go the other way, we’ve got to stop. This has been our problem all along.  We haven’t really advanced anything we believe.  Our whole existence the last 35 years or even longer happen just to stop the advances they have made, and that has to happen here, too.  And that’s a lot of work.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: This is just one election, and that’s all it is right now.  All we’ve won is an election.  There’s gonna be a lot of work.  And now what you’re describing might be part of it.  You know, investigating to find out all the — however you want to characterize all the — crap, garbage, whatever.

CALLER:  All the abuse.  Mmm-hmm.

RUSH:  Yeah.

CALLER:  Now, on to what you were saying earlier about Apple coming back to the U.S., that could possibly be part of Trump’s New Deal proposal.

RUSH:  What do you mean?

CALLER:  Put people to work. Put the African-American —

RUSH:  Oh.

CALLER:  — nation back to work.

RUSH:  Oh, I have no doubt that Trump… There’s gonna be a massive movement sort of reclaiming American jobs and creating new jobs in all kinds of new growth sectors.  I have no doubt. The people that Trump is gonna put around him are gonna be for that express purpose in all areas.  That’s gonna be one of the primary objectives of getting the economy actually functioning again.

CALLER:  What better way to bridge that “I’m not a racist” gap than to say, “I’m not only gonna make sure you African-American gets jobs. I’m gonna make sure they’re high-tech jobs.  They’re fantastic jobs.”

RUSH:  They’ve gotta want them.

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.

RUSH:  There’s all kinds of factors that go into this, but Trump is the only guy that’s gone to the African-American community and made an appeal to them.  So, I’m right now, like you, feeling strains of optimism here over a lot of things, the direction, the speed, the potential speed.  But, remember, we still have a dangerous couple of months to navigate here.  But before you go, Debbie, would you like a brand-new iPhone or iPhone 7 or 7 Plus?

CALLER:  Oh, my gosh.  Yes. (giggles)

RUSH:  Well —

CALLER:  Like you, I’m an Apple fan, Ford fan.

RUSH:  I could tell since you started talking about it.  Do you have an iPhone now, and if so what kind?

CALLER:  I do.  I have a 6.

RUSH:  You have a 6.  Okay, so would you like a 7 or a 7 Plus?

CALLER:  7 Plus.

RUSH:  7 Plus.  What carrier are you with?

CALLER:  Verizon.

RUSH:  Verizon.  Easily done.  The phone you’re gonna get… Do you have a preference? I don’t have much color variety here.  In fact, it’s gonna have to black.

CALLER:  That’s great. I like black.

RUSH:  They’re beautiful.  They’ve got two new shades of black and you want the shiny jet black or the matte black?

CALLER:  Shiny black.

RUSH:  All right! Good!  Good choice.  These are so hard to find.  Only people like me have them.

CALLER: (chuckles)

RUSH: (chuckles) Now, now, here’s the thing, your phone is gonna arrive unlocked.  It may not have a SIM card in it.  It might. If it has a SIM card, it might have Verizon.  Doesn’t matter. It’s unlocked and it will work out of the box.  Just put your SIM card in it or take it to Verizon and with your current phone and tell ’em it’s a gift and you want your number to move to the big phone. It will be done in a matter of seconds, okay?

CALLER:  Awesome.  Thank you so much.

RUSH:  If you hang on, Mr. Snerdley will get your address and we can send this thing out to you today.
