RUSH:  Look at this right here yesterday, the New York Post had a headline:  “Obama: ‘We’ Are to Blame, Not Islamic Terrorism, for Massacre.” Despite the fact that Omar Siddiqui… By the way, Fox News now reporting that Siddiqui’s ex-wife was with him when he bought the ammo for the attack.  She says the FBI told her not to say that her ex-husband was gay.  If that’s true, why would the FBI tell her not to say that?  Heck, I don’t…

You know, folks, as I just stand back and observe things — and it’s interesting, too. Last week I was on vacation, and for all intents and purposes, I was out of the Continental United States. It’s good for me to do this now and then, to be studying everything or just consume news like everybody else does, not having to do a radio show the next day. Just consuming it while going around doing other things in life, rather than be singularly devoted to learning, digesting, being able to regurgitate it and so forth.

It just… I don’t know. It strikes a cord.  I don’t know what’s not corrupt anymore.  It doesn’t seem like there are any institutions — other than the military — that you rely on, and even there we have two different kinds of generals.  We have warrior generals and we have the diplomatic political generals who are trying to advance up the Pentagon’s ladder by virtue of noncombat wartime things.  It’s a sobering thing.  And then you see, “Obama: ‘We’ Are to Blame, Not Islamic Terrorism, for Massacre.”

What he actually said was “that ‘we have no definitive assessment on the motivation’ of Omar Mateen but that ‘we know he was a person filled with hate.'” So we have an indication “Obama finds it astonishingly easy to divorce himself from a reality he doesn’t like — the reality of the Islamist terror war against the United States and how it is moving to our shores…” They don’t have to launch salvos from across the ocean.  They are becoming citizens.  They’re becoming members of the military.

It’s undeniable.  And to listen to this total denial from the highest levels of our government, which is where people go for trust and assurance and belief, and there is…? You can’t invest that in this administration.  This administration obviously feels the need to defend this and to deflect blame to places that have no responsibility for it whatsoever.  Isn’t it interesting, though, the dichotomy?  Whenever militant Islamists — and I guess it’s a voting bloc for the Democrat Party, Islam. I guess. I don’t know.

Whenever an act like this happens, “No, no, no! We cannot rush to judgment.  We cannot indict an entire people on religion! We cannot.  In fact, we can’t even blame the shooter.  We have to find reasons to explain why this perfectly normal, lovable young man became a killing machine — and we’re gonna find it somewhere in the United States of America.”  That just… I can tell you, when you have leaders at the highest levels of our government operating that way, that’s not good, and that’s exactly what we have.

And yet when, as I have said previously, there’s a movie shooting — a mass shooting anywhere in this country — that does not involve a Muslim, what does this administration do?  What does the Democrat Party do?  They make tracks! They do everything they can to find a way to blame the shooter and then say that the shooter knew full well what he was doing because he was in solidarity with the Republican Party or with the conservative movement or with talk radio or with Christianity or what have you.

I mean, they make no pretense. They do not pause; they do not wait. They run full-speed ahead into indicting as many people in this country as they can.  There is no, “Let’s step back! Let’s not rush to judgment. Let’s make sure that we’re evenhanded.”  There is never restraint. I never see a graphic, “Investigators Still Looking For Motivation Why Colorado Shooter Would Blow up Movie Theater,” or what have you.

They don’t wait for motivation.  They assign it to things like the Tea Party or what have you.  Hillary Clinton has followed President Obama.  Obama goes out there today, makes some comments about militant Islam and whatever else in this event.  Hillary Clinton was in Pittsburgh today, and she’s playing second fiddle to Obama on Trump.  We have a couple of sound bites.  Here’s number one…

HILLARY:  Yesterday morning, just one day after the massacre, he went on TV and suggested that President Obama is on the side of the terrorists.  History will remember what we do in this moment.

RUSH:  Ah, what a…

HILLARY:  What Donald Trump is saying is shameful.  It is disrespectful to the people who were killed and wounded and their families.

FOLLOWERS: (applause)

HILLARY: And it is yet more evidence that he is temperamentally unfit and totally unqualified to be commander-in-chief.

FOLLOWERS: (cheers and applause)

RUSH:  Right on.  So she says that history will remember what we do at this moment. (chuckles) Damn right it will. (snorts) Not in the way we want to record it, by the way.  If this keeps up, we’re not gonna be happy with the way history remembers this.  Donald Trump suggested Obama is on the side of the terrorists? Maybe I did, too.  I don’t know.  I suggest he sounds like a defense lawyer. (interruption) No, no.  I’m not… I’m just… I don’t… I’m sorry.  That’s what it sounds like.  This little speech today, he sound like he felt the need to defend this guy or this event or Islam or what have you.  He felt the need to defend it so that people wouldn’t be thinking what’s obvious here.

Here’s the next Hillary bite…

HILLARY:  I read every word of Donald Trump’s speech yesterday, and I sifted through all of the bizarre rants and the outright lies.  He is fixated on the words “radical Islam.”  Now, I must say, I find this strange.  Is Donald Trump suggesting that there are magic words that, once uttered, will stop terrorists from coming after us?

RUSH:  Come on.

HILLARY:  Trump, as usual, is obsessed with name-calling.  And, from my perspective, it matters what we do, not just what we say.

RUSH:  Nobody is suggesting that calling it what it is will stop it.  This is how these people obfuscate and distract and deflect things and try to make them irrelevant or sound silly.  The point of identifying who our enemy is has to do with us and how we deal with it.  Not them.  Calling…? We don’t…? Does Hillary actually think that calling them names is gonna offend them and they’ll go away?  What difference does it make now anyway, Hillary?  What difference does it make?  This idea that we making a big deal out of calling them names?

Nobody thinks calling them names is gonna beat them.

Nobody thinks that correctly identifying them is gonna change them.

It’s not what this is about.  It’s about us finding out whether or not the people lead this country know what we’re up against and are prepared to stop it and oppose it.  It’s no more complicated than that.  And it’s quite logical to conclude (and maybe be concerned) that if the leaders of this country will not correctly identify what we’re up against, that they may not think we’re up against it — and, as such, may not devise proper strategies in order to defeat it.  Well, let’s go to listen Trump.  This is from yesterday morning, Fox & Friends.  This is not the actual speech.  We have that coming up in just a second.  Trump called in to Fox & Friends, when he was talking to Brian Kilmeade.

TRUMP:  We’re led by a man that is a very… Look, I… We’re led by a man that either is — is — is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind. And the “something else in mind,” you know, people can’t believe it.  People cannot… They cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words “radical Islamic terrorism.”  There is something going on.  It’s inconceivable.

RUSH:  And they are getting nervous about that. So Obama has to go out and address it today, and Hillary has to follow up in the mop-up role in explaining why, “It doesn’t matter.”  And it clearly does.  It’s not about how it affects them.  And everybody knows that.  This is all about whether or not we can count on Obama to defend this country against this stuff.  That’s what people are concerned about.  That’s why there is concern over whether or not he’ll admit what we’re up against.

It’s no more complicated than that.  People are scared.  They can’t find jobs.  Their health care has gotten so expensive they can’t afford it.  Ninety-five million Americans are not working.  Everything’s upside down.  Kids are 35 years old still living at home with their parents.  Nothing’s normal.  There is no economic growth.  There is no expansion.  There is no optimism.

People that have jobs are afraid they’re gonna lose them. People that have savings are afraid they’re gonna lose that.  People are not increasing their standard of living and they’re being told all this is their fault.  They’re being told they’re a bunch of bigots, they hang around the VFW hall in the middle of the day consuming adult beverages listening to talk radio. Or they’re a bunch of bigot hayseed Christians who hate everybody.

And, meanwhile, we have San Bernardino, we have 911, we have this, we have any number of other things that don’t even seem to get a rise out of people like Hillary Clinton or the Democrat Party or Barack Obama, other than as an opportunity to blame us.  You know how that’s gonna affect people?  People minding their own business on a Saturday night that have not anything to do with it, don’t even know where Orlando is, never been to Orlando, certainly don’t know what the Pulse nightclub is, wake up the next day, find out what happened and then a couple hours later learn that it’s their fault.

They are told that it’s their fault ’cause of things they say, because of things they think.  And even people paying the scantest attention know exactly what happened and why, and you can’t even get the leaders of the country to acknowledge it, guaranteed it’s going to alarm people.  Here’s Trump.  This from Manchester, New Hampshire, campaign event, Trump’s speaking about terrorism and national security.  Two sound bites again.  Here is the first.

TRUMP:  Hillary Clinton can never claim to be a friend of the gay community as long as she continues to support immigration policies that bring Islamic extremists to our country and who suppress women, gays, and anyone else who doesn’t share their views or values.  Why does Hillary Clinton want to bring people in in vast numbers who reject our values?  Why?  Explain.  Ask yourself who is really the friend of women and the LGBT community?  Donald Trump with actions, or Hillary Clinton with her words?

RUSH:  This is exactly the point that I was asking earlier.  You’re a member of the gay community, LGBT, I don’t care what, you’re gay, you’re lesbian, what have you.  You devoted yourself to the Democrat Party. You’re political. You believe they’re gonna protect you against Christians. They’re gonna protect you against people. They’ve stood behind you while you got married and did all this kind of stuff. You sent them money. You’ve raised money. You voted for ’em. You showed up, maybe even joined a couple protest marches, whatever. Here comes a radical Islamist shooting up a gay nightclub, kills 49, injures 50. There might be more deaths. The doctors said today that they think there might be more people that succumb.

And then you wake up the next day as one of these devout Democrat supporters and followers and you learn that people that have nothing to do with it are being blamed.  Now, whatever you know, you know that Christians are not storming clubs and shooting ’em up.  You know that Christians aren’t committing violence. Christians are not running around committing murder.  But this bunch is.  I don’t know, I think Trump’s asking a legitimate question.

I’m gonna tell you something.  If this kind of stuff keeps up, you’re gonna have a lot of people that will never say a word, but they’re gonna vote, and they’re not gonna vote for Hillary Clinton, if this kind of stuff keeps up.  It may not need even another impression.  I mean, the gay community is all-in for the Democrat Party for the specific reason that they believe that Christians and conservatives and so forth hate them, wipe ’em out, eliminate ’em, not allow them to do this or that.  Of course that never happens.  Because the Democrat Party is making sure it never happens.  “The Democrat Party, we’re being protected. The Democrat Party is saving us and so forth.”  The Democrat Party’s not saving ’em, is the point. They’re gonna figure it out.  Here’s the next Trump sound bite from his speech.

TRUMP:  I called for a ban after San Bernardino and was met with great scorn and anger.  And although the pause is temporary, we must find out what is going on.  We have to do it.  It will be lifted, this ban, when and as a nation we’re in a position to properly and perfectly screen these people coming into our country.  When I’m elected, I will suspend immigration from areas of the world where there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe, or our allies, until we fully understand how to end these threats.

RUSH:  That’s what Hillary Clinton found so outrageous, so unacceptable, so yucky, so icky, so lacking in temperament and qualifications.

And here it is again.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  You know, those 10 countries that execute homosexuals — and by the way, they don’t just puts ’em in prison.  They hang ’em, they burn them, they throw them over walls from high places.  It’s brutal public shaming execution.  Hillary Clinton and her husband, the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton campaign, have taken millions of dollars from many of those countries.

I think Hillary is in the 10 to $15 million range of donations from Saudi Arabia, which is where the instructions for all of this actually emanate.  They are the protectors of the holy mosque, grand mosque, whatever it’s called, Mecca. The royal family of Saudi Arabia is whatever you call ’em, the defenders, protectors, they are the architects.  Anyway, Hillary Clinton’s in there taking tons of money from many of these nations that execute homosexuals.  Nobody’s gonna call her on it.  Nobody’s gonna ask her about it.

How can it be said to be radical when it’s common procedure in these countries?  There’s not enough time to be fair with another caller here.  One point that I should make here.  Obama and Hillary today both went off on this idea of the term “radical Islam” and why they don’t use it and why it wouldn’t matter and so forth.  But if you listen to Trump — I think this is true — if you listen to Trump talking about this when he hammers Obama or hammers Hillary, it’s always three words in the phrase he uses, “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Obama won’t even call it terrorism, not just radical Islam.  Trump always uses those three words, or at least it seems that he does most of the time.  But they always leave off the word “terrorism.” They quote radical Islam, radical Islam.  Radical Islamic terrorism is what Trump talks about.  Yeah, Trump is demanding Hillary give the money back. Twenty-five million the Clinton Foundation took from the Saudis, and Trump’s demanding that she give it back.  Ha.  Fat chance.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I’ll tell you something else that’s big, and it isn’t gonna be cast this way.  Both Obama and Hillary came out today in defensive mode trying to make it look like they were on offense but both of them are on defense.  Both defending themselves in the way…

In Obama’s case, the way he’s conducting this War on Terror. In Hillary’s case, the way she says she’s gonna conduct herself, and the way they’re using words and so forth. One guy’s responsible for it; that’s Trump.  The RNC hasn’t challenged ’em; the Republican Party hasn’t challenged ’em.  Trump could go out and make one speech in New Hampshire and force the president and the presumptive Democrat nominee to show up and get all defensive, and that’s what they were.

The media will never say that they reacted in panic or defense.  But neither Hillary nor Obama have ever had their motives and competence challenged by coequals in the political world.  They are used to getting a free ride, and they don’t know how to deal with it.  Well, it’s not they don’t know how to deal with.  They don’t like it.  So I think it’s… They both show up today to both go out after Trump for being intemperate, incompetent, not what we need.  This is this kind of stuff official opposition should have consisted of for 7-1/2 years.
