Marco Rubio’s Trump Anguish

by Rush Limbaugh - Mar 14,2016

RUSH: I want you to hear Rubio. This is from Saturday morning in Largo, Florida. He held a press conference and many people said this is one of his best press conferences ever — that if this Rubio had been present during the entire campaign, that we would be looking at a different set of circumstances right now. But a reporter basically wanted to get Rubio to confirm that he’s going to support the nominee regardless.

REPORTER: Would you support the nominee if he’s the nominee?

RUBIO: I don’t know. I mean, I already talked about the fact that I think Hillary Clinton would be terrible for this country. But the fact that you’re even asking me that question, I still at this moment continue to intend to support the Republican nominee, but getting harder every day.

RUSH: Now, people that saw it — and I saw it — said it was genuine. To me it looked genuine. He was genuinely pained here answering this, as though he is genuinely pained about what he is seeing. Remember, this is Saturday morning after what went down in Chicago, the night before. And, remember, early Saturday morning, this was before 10 on Saturday morning in Largo. At that time, there were still a whole lot of people, the effort was underway to blame Trump for this.

And that one, I don’t care what you think, Trump had nothing to do with that one, his rally had never even started. That was solely shut down by anti-Trump protesters. His people never even assembled. They had not one thing to do with it. But the effort was being made to say it was all Trump’s fault, this is further deterioration of the Republican campaign, and Rubio was reacting to it on that basis.
