RUSH: Reince Priebus says never again on CNBC. We’re not gonna do that crap burger again, crap sandwich. He says (paraphrasing), “They promised me that they wouldn’t do what they did. They promised me.”
I just sit here, who are “they”? The freaking Democrat media. They promised you. “Yeah, they promised me that there would be at least one conservative on every panel.” At least one? Oh. Man, are we lucky. They promised one? I don’t think there was one. They don’t even have one at CNBC. (interruption) Kudlow? Depending on what you’re talking about.
He said, “So we’re never going back there.” The candidates are saying screw the RNC. We are gonna get together ourselves and map out these future debates and figure out how they should go. But everybody should be really applauding here. Reince Priebus says CNBC will not moderate another debate and the RNC is reevaluating all the others after this crap sandwich.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Well, a little bit of a breaking news flash here. Officially: “The Republican National Committee has pulled out of a planned Feb. 26 debate with NBC News after widespread criticism of this week’s CNBC debate from both the party and campaigns,” over the CNBC debate. “Reince Priebus wrote in a letter to NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack… ‘CNBC network is one of your media properties, and its handling of the debate was conducted in bad faith,’ Priebus wrote.
“‘I have tremendous respect for the First Amendment and freedom of the press. However, I also expect the media to host a substantive debate on consequential issues important to Americans. CNBC did not.'” So, sayonara to NBC. There was a debate scheduled there on February 26th, and it’s now fini. Well, not fini, ’cause it never happened. But it’s gone.
