RUSH: Speaking of CNN, Wolf Blitzer with breaking news just moments ago on CNN. Are you ready? Here we go in three, two, one.

BLITZER: Authorities now say the evidence increasingly indicates the Chattanooga gunman’s motive was in fact terror.

RUSH: No! No! It was? It was terror? They finally found the motive? Oh, wow, CNN is on the case, folks, they found the motive. Well, they didn’t; authorities did. Authorities now say the evidence increasingly indicates that the Chattanooga gunman’s motive was in fact terror, and this is the day that Obama announced that the flags in the White House are coming down to half-mast, in honor. I guess they were doing everything they could to prove that it wasn’t terror.

You want to talk about another disconnect? Do you think the majority of the American people, when they hear that Mohammed Abdulazeez kills five military personnel, are scratching their heads over whether or not it could be terrorism? You think a majority of the American people conclude on the spot, “Oh, my God, more domestic terror”? Of course they do. Of course we did. But what happens in Washington? Every effort possible is made to find somebody else responsible.

They even tried to blame it on the American drug culture. They tried to blame it on American rock ‘n’ roll. The American left! I thought drugs and rock ‘n’ roll people were their donors and their big buddies, but here they would do everything they could to try to blame it on American culture, anything but what it was. If they could have found a Tea Party guy, they would have done it. If they could have found conservative talk radio, they would have done it. They looked. It took ’em days and days and they finally found out that this guy, the shooter, had consulted the website of the American terrorist living in Yemen, Awlaki.

And then they even tried to say, the authorities did, Washington, even CNN, “Well, it wasn’t ISIS, it wasn’t ISIS. No, no, it wasn’t ISIS. It was Al-Qaeda. It wasn’t ISIS.” Okay, Al-Qaeda, that’s fine, no big deal there. Fine and dandy. So Al-Qaeda, we can tolerate that. Just amazing.
