Crumb Cruncher Names His Favorite Rush Revere Book

by Rush Limbaugh - May 29,2015

RUSH: Marietta, Georgia. This is Chris, 13 years old today. Right?

CALLER: Yes, sir.

RUSH: Well, happy birthday, Chris, and I’m glad you spent some of it calling here.

CALLER: Thank you.

RUSH: What’s up? What’s happening?

CALLER: I just wanted to call to tell you that I read all of your books, and I really enjoyed ’em because they tell the truth about American history and not some hocus-pocus.

RUSH: Thank you. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you saying that, because that’s exactly what we’re striving to do, and exactly for people just like you, so you have made my day. I thank you very much for that, Chris. Which one’s your favorite? Do you have a favorite of the three?

CALLER: Yes. The First Patriots, the second one.

RUSH: The second was your favorite. Cool.

CALLER: Because of the Boston Tea Party. I didn’t know that it happened at night and they dressed as Indians. Like, I wasn’t told that.

RUSH: You’re 13. What is that, are you like in the seventh grade?

CALLER: Yes, sir, seventh grade.

RUSH: What have you been taught? Have you been taught about the Boston Tea Party yet?

CALLER: I have, but it wasn’t in detail.

RUSH: Was it just presented as something to do with taxes and so forth, or did they get more complicated or detailed than that?

CALLER: It was more of like, you know, yeah, it was taxes, and we really skimmed over it.

RUSH: Skimmed over it, huh? See, I’m glad you said that, too, because too much of what is really, really important and inspiring, by the way, about American history is being ignored in much of the public school curriculum. So it just makes my day that you found the books useful and good and entertaining. I really appreciate that. You know, I’ll tell you what. I want you to hang on here because I want to send you the CDs of the audio versions of all three. They are of me reading, so you can relive them this way without having to reread them.

We’ll throw some other stuff in there too, Chris, but, look, thank you very much. I appreciate it because you’re exactly the guy, the kind of person for whom these books are written. It’s been a while since we’ve had a young crumb cruncher call here about one of the Rush Revere books, so I’m honored that you took the time.
