RUSH: It appears that liberals don’t know what they’re supposed to think on any given subject at any given time. They simply hope they can run to the front of the mobs. The mobs are also fake, by the way. You ever stop to think that every news story that has created massive controversy from coast to coast in this country, have you ever stopped to think that it’s all fake?

“Hands up, don’t shoot” did not happen. There were no rapes by frat houses and frat boys at the University of Virginia. Lena Dunham cannot prove that she was raped by a conservative at Oberlin College where she reputedly attended. The Duke lacrosse case was totally manufactured and made up. It did not happen. And on and on and on. Eric Garner in New York was not killed by a cop chokehold. He died of a heart attack on the way to the hospital. But never mind.

There is no discrimination against homosexuals in Indiana. All of this is drummed up and fake. Every one of these stories is fake. And when they are exposed as fake, such as the Rolling Stone University of Virginia rape story, when they are exposed as fake, how does the journalist responsible for the fakery and his or her accomplices in the rest of the Drive-By Media respond?

They say, “It may be, it may be fake. But it doesn’t matter because we know it’s happening elsewhere. We know rape is happening all over this country campus after campus after campus. It may not have happened there, it may not have happened in this case at the University of Virginia. But we know it’s happening, and we have raised everybody’s consciousness level about it, and so it was good.”

And once again we’re drawn back to the nature of the evidence when it comes to liberalism, irrelevant. The seriousness of the charge. In this case, the seriousness of the charge is that men are raping women on college campuses all the time, every day, and it’s gotten out of hand. Another fake premise is that white cops are murdering and executing innocent black children every day in America. It’s gotten out of hand. We gotta stop it. But it doesn’t happen, and it hasn’t happened.

And now we are off on another totally manufactured, made-up, fake story that there is rampant, wanton, Christian discrimination against loving homosexuals all over Indiana. It isn’t true. You’ve heard about the story. The local TV affiliate, the ABC Eyewitness News affiliate walks into a pizza store 30 minutes south of Indianapolis. They just walk in. There’s no reason. The store hasn’t made any news. Nobody inside the store said anything. The media is going door-to-door.

They are shopping and hoping to find what they claim is discrimination and bigotry. So they walk into this pizza store after failing to find a business that meet their needs. They’re just going door-to-door and they walk in, they finally find a naive woman who admits, “No, we wouldn’t cater a gay wedding because of our Christian views.” Never mind they never have, they’ve never been asked to, they’ve never said no, they’ve never refused to cater. It was totally made up, but that’s not the story. The media’s making it the story, but it’s what happens after the Drive-By Media person goes into the business and concocts this fake story. It’s what happens afterwards that is really fake.

RUSH: One other thing. Ann Coulter has a column today, and it’s good because she puts in list form all of these things been talking about here that make up fake news. And it’s really crafted well. Listen. Here’s an excerpt. “Evidently, the sole function of the media these days is to subject the public to a steady stream of manufactured events: ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’; nuclear power kills; Lena Dunham’s rape by a college conservative at Oberlin; the ‘mattress girl’ raped at Columbia University.

“Jon Stewart is funny; a fraternity gang-rape at the University of Virginia; and a law protecting religious freedom will lead to separate water fountains for gays in Indiana. … Having won the war on gay marriage (by judicial fiat), now some liberal zealots insist on going house-to-house and shooting the survivors. They seem to seek out Christian businesses to provide floral arrangements and cakes for gay weddings so they can call the cops if the Christians try to pass.”

This is exactly like I said yesterday. And, by the way, grab sound bite number three. This buttresses it. In all of, let’s say, New Mexico or Colorado or Oregon a gay couple wants to get married, do you think they can’t find a bakery that’ll bake a cake? Of all the bakeries they have to pick the one that has a religious objection? Why do they go there, then? Because that was the plan.

The gay wedding may have even been manufactured and fake just to create the news story. In New Mexico it was a different thing. It was photographer. A gay couple wants to get married or have a commitment ceremony, there have to be photography studios left and right in New Mexico, Sante Fe or wherever it was. They happened to pick one that they knew had a religious objection? Same thing in the state of Oregon.

So they now go house to house or business to business seeking businesses they know will not want to do business with them? Exactly right. All to advance the agenda and the cause. “Every single cause championed by liberals is based on a fake story. They make up events that didn’t happen and get apoplectic over things that never will happen. The definition of ‘liberal’ is quickly becoming: people who believe their fantasies should be facts.” But the key to this is right there with them side by side is the Drive-By Media.

The Drive-By Media’s part of this. The Drive-By Media is the agenda. The Drive-By Media is in no way casual observers just watching what’s going on anymore and reporting to people what they see. They are now activists themselves, promoting the agenda and promoting the cause.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: We’ll go to Louis in Lafayette, Louisiana. You’re next, sir, and it’s great to have you on the program. Hello.

CALLER: It’s great to be on the program, Rush. I’ve been listening for the past ten years, so it’s a real honor to be on the program.

RUSH: How old are you now, Louis?

CALLER: Well, I’ll be 24 tomorrow. I’m 23 for the next, you know —

RUSH: Well, happy birthday in advance.

CALLER: Thank you. Thank you. I was just calling ’cause I was listening to the program earlier when it first aired this morning, about this girl who was on that TV show and she was upset about the US having, you know, nuclear weapons, and they’ve been showing a lot about, you know, this Iran deal with the nuclear weapons. And as I was thinking earlier, that should be like the least of Americans’ worries right now. Because the world can end, you know, in the next ten years, end in the next, you know, 10 billion years, but the problem we have is like we don’t need to live in oppression until then. You have the administration that we have right now that are imposing so many different laws that are restricting our freedoms, like forcing us to have health care. I’m a server. I don’t think that I should be forced to wait on anybody. You know?

RUSH: So you think the Regime, you think the Obama administration has created a police state type?

CALLER: Yeah. I was talking to Bo about that earlier. I mean, I myself, you know, like I said, I’m 23, I get pulled over — not pulled over. Cops will come to me when I’m at a gas station at 10:30 at night after I leave work, if I’m cleaning out my girlfriend’s car with a hoodie on in 30 degree weather they’ll come and take my license plate down, like why does a police officer feel the need to do that? You know, you have these police officers putting people in chokeholds that are illegal, they have police officers killing people, and nobody’s worried about it.

RUSH: Well, now, it’s not true that nobody’s worried about it. But, see, the person you talked about did not die from the chokehold. You’re illustrating one of the challenges that we face here. You’ve been convinced that we live in a police state where the police are out just man handling people, in some cases murdering them in cold blood, just because they don’t like ’em, just because of they’re skin color. You’ve been made to believe that, when it’s not the case. It simply isn’t the case. And it hasn’t been the case.

CALLER: I’m not saying people are getting murdered in the streets every day. But I’m saying that, like, I see more stories about police wrongdoing that’s going unreported by, like, underground media as opposed to, like, something like I don’t know, Fox or one of the Drive-By Media stations, they’re all worried about things that aren’t affecting our day-to-day lives.

RUSH: Well, now, that, see, I know where you’re coming from. You look at the Iranian nuclear deal, “So what?” you say.

CALLER: Exactly.

RUSH: “That’s not gonna affect me tonight. That’s not gonna affect me tomorrow, and even if they do nuke us, the world’s over, and until they nuke us, I want a life that’s fair and just.”

CALLER: I want to be free, that’s correct.

RUSH: You want to be free.

CALLER: I want my liberties not to be encroached by the national government and the current administration.

RUSH: Well, you’re kind of on both sides of this, ’cause on the one hand you’re critical of Obama, but then you’re also agreeing with Obama’s view of the country when you cite the stuff that you cited about the cops.

CALLER: Well, see, I’m not necessarily — I don’t — I consider myself a conservative Libertarian. So if I ever accidentally agree with Obama, it’s purely on accident.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: You know what I mean?

RUSH: Yeah. Let’s cut to the chase. What is it, if you could pinpoint it, Louis, you’re obviously informed, and you try to stay informed and because of that you have fears and concerns and worries, and you see problems. What is it, if you had to narrow it down to one or two things, what is it that’s really bothering you? You get up every day, what is it that is really bothering you that you think is gonna have a direct impact on you and your ability to live the way you want to?

CALLER: I’d probably say the stripping of our personal liberties, like Obama’s attack on the Second Amendment. That’s probably one of the things that bothers me the most. Because, like, I feel like once you strip away your protection, then they’re free to do anything they want.

RUSH: Okay. All right. I don’t want to give you possibilities; I don’t want to lead you into things. I really want to find out what’s on your mind. Like if I ask you what do you think about Obama’s effort to basically open the borders and let anybody emigrate to the country who wants to.

CALLER: See, I completely disagree with his position on that. My mother was born and raised in Honduras in Central America, so I’m one of the, I would say like a composite American. My father was born and raised down here in the South. My mom was born in another country. She emigrated with my brother legally to the United States. My family legally immigrated. I have family who’s been fighting all kinds of different red tape trying to get here.

RUSH: Well, I think your instincts are right. See, this is the thing. That’s why I wanted to find out what is actually on your mind. You are aware to one degree or another, you are aware that you are losing a little liberty and freedom here and there every day. You’re right. You are highly attuned to that. I congratulate you. It’s good that you’re a listener here.
