RUSH: This is Ben, Emerald Isle, North Carolina, once again. Great to have you, sir, on the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. Real pleasure. Thanks for everything you do. Quick point or concern here. The administration and their spokespeople have great and grave concern about the publishing of a cartoon —

RUSH: Yes.

CALLER: — yet they are willing to, and seem unafraid to publish, enhanced interrogation reports, photographs from Abu Ghraib, and have no ties or concerns to that leading to violence.

RUSH: Whoa. That is an excellent point. I’m gonna edit this. We’re on a 40 second delay. I’m gonna pretend I never took the phone call and I’m gonna steal that like Fareed Zakaria does and I’m gonna make it my own.

CALLER: It probably is your own.

RUSH: No, no, that is an excellent point. Here we are coming condemning all these magazines that published these, what did we do, we plastered Abu Ghraib pictures all over the world to humiliate the US military. I’ll never forget the one of the pyramid that was made out of the prisoners at Abu Ghraib. We published stories they were flushing the Koran down the toilet, Club Gitmo. That is exactly right. That is a great point.

CALLER: Thank you, sir. Keep doing what you’re doing.

RUSH: Well, it does illustrate the hypocrisy. Here they are getting on this magazine for publishing their cartoons, and what did we do? I mean, those Abu Ghraib photos, remember how the Democrats reacted to those? Oh, my God, we almost had to impeach Bush over that, and Cheney and Halliburton. Yeah, and the Democrats’ CIA report with all the horrible things we did like waterboarding and feeding them Ensure, dire techniques, interrogation techniques at Club Gitmo.

It’s kind of a hollow thing here for the Regime to get all over the place — and then we hype this video that nobody ever saw and made sure that millions of people saw that. And the Democrat staff report on terrorism, the interrogation techniques, that’s not even true. That’s exactly right. That’s an excellent point. And I did think about stealing it, but then I was overtaken by my own integrity.
