RUSH: I want to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, of a special unveiling that you can see on video at our Rush Revere Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/RushRevere.
It’s a special unveiling, and I have to tell you that your young children, eager beaver readers of the Rush Revere Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans series, are gonna like this a lot. This is going to be something they are going to very much be interested in, but I’m not gonna tell you what it is. It’s a special unveiling. We could have done it with a lot more fanfare than we’re doing, but we just do it and then let you know we’ve done it and let you know that it’s coming and will soon be available.
But it’s all part of an ongoing effort to have this mission accomplished, the mission that is involved in the writing of the books to detail the truth of American history in the face of what unfortunate way history is being taught, the way the American founding is being taught in the public schools today. We have a mission here to tell young people the truth of it so that they would love their country, be proud of their country, understand how miraculous the country is, understand what it took. Because there are some who think the country’s teetering, some who think that the country is precariously balanced and is very close to being transformed into something it was never intended to be.
So it’s our effort to reach as many young people as possible and tell them the truth and to let them know that it is perfectly normal and fine to love this country and to understand the people that founded it and what their dreams were and what they sacrificed, particularly now in this era of Thanksgiving, in this period of Thanksgiving, as we head into the holiday season.
When you have a free moment, head on over to our Facebook page. It’s Facebook.com/RushRevere. You can’t miss it. It’s just a little special unveiling. You can see what is on tap and may — not may,

RUSH: No, I’m not gonna tell you what it is ’cause I can’t tell you. It’s a surprise, but it’s a video. It’s just a video. It’s a video unveiling at our Facebook page. It has to do with Rush Revere characters, Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans. This is getting big, folks. It’s getting big. This is getting bigger than we ever thought. I mean, we thought it was just gonna be some books. It’s getting bigger than that. The connections that are being made with young people and their parents and grandparents and these books and the truth about American history is overwhelming, it’s fabulous.
So we’ve got our Facebook page dedicated to Rush Revere and we’ve got just a little video unveiling there. And I guarantee you if you have a chance to let your kids who love the book and really like some of the characters, they’re gonna get a big charge out of this. It’s just a video unveiling and it’s at our Facebook page, which is Facebook.com/RushRevere.
Snerdley was asking me, “What’s this big surprise?” It’s just a video unveiling. But look, like everything else, I can’t tell you when the next book’s gonna be, but, you know, there’s gonna be one. And there’s all kinds of things we have planned for the future, and this little video is sort of an indication, it’s a little teaser about what may be in development, shall we say, so you can find out what it is, it’s a couple of minutes. It’s so good, it is so good, and it’s at our Facebook page, Rush Revere Facebook page, which is, again, Facebook.com/RushRevere.

RUSH: John in San Clemente, California. Great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Rush, good to talk to you again.
RUSH: Same here. Glad that you called.
CALLER: Happy Thanksgiving to you and Kathryn. It’s my wife’s name, too, so it’s a good name. One of my top 10 favorite names.
RUSH: Well, I appreciate that. Thank you very much. He-he-he-he. I like your thinking.
CALLER: Hey, last night was — you know, I’m kind of a news junkie so I was watching the news on my iPad, and my nine-year-old is, you know, a young skull full of mush.
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: Who loves Rush Revere, by the way.
RUSH: All right.
CALLER: He turned over, and he saw one of the cars on fire, and he goes, “Dad, what’s going on over there?” So I kind of explained to him what was happening, and he —
RUSH: Is this the first time your son has seen this kind of civil unrest?
CALLER: Definitely.
RUSH: Okay.
CALLER: We don’t watch a lot of news in our house, so, yeah, it was new for him.
RUSH: Okay.
CALLER: So, of course, his mind goes to, well, he looks at me, says, “Well, they’re gonna get in trouble, right? They’re gonna get arrested?”
RUSH: Yeah, I remember those days, too, when I used to think that people that commit crimes would get in trouble. Yes, I loved those days.
CALLER: When things were black and white, right and wrong.
RUSH: Exactly. I loved those days, yeah. And now today you get all down in dumps ’cause you know they’re not gonna get in trouble.
CALLER: Yeah, exactly. I mean, so I turn to my son and I didn’t know what to tell him, you know?
RUSH: Well, what did you tell him?
CALLER: Well, I honestly can’t remember because I was thinking myself, “Well, I could say ‘You know, son, if you’re really angry about something, let’s say I tell you to do something, and you’re really angry about it, it’s okay for you to go in your room and just destroy your room, and if you want to light our car on fire, why don’t you do that, too? You know, you’re really angry about it.'”
RUSH: Right.
CALLER: “‘And, you know, what I told you was right. We used the facts in giving you a discipline, but you can be angry about it and go ahead destroy everything that you love,'” you know?
RUSH: Now, he’s nine years. Are you tempted to even try to get into the actual political truth of what’s going on with him, or do you think it’s too soon for that?
CALLER: Well, you know, Rush, he’s a smart kid, and he understands things that, well, it just really surprises me what he does and doesn’t understand. And of course my wife and I are doing the best to raise him with the love of the country and —
RUSH: Well, obviously if you’re a Rush Revere reader.
CALLER: — it is tough, it is tough because everything that’s being presented to him away from mom and dad and away from church and stuff like that —
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: — is being presented to him as we’re the bad people.
RUSH: Right, exactly.
CALLER: We’re the ones that are doing things wrong.
RUSH: Exactly.
CALLER: It’s funny you bring this up. I’ve been reading him Rush Revere and the First Patriots, and in his class they were reading a book about an Indian boy and a colonial boy, and he was telling me about it, and I asked him, I said, “Who do you think the bad people were? Who was the wrong people in the book?” And he goes, “Well, the white people.”
RUSH: He actually said that?
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: The white people?
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: Not the colonial people, the white people?
CALLER: Yeah. And so it was being presented to him in that fashion.
RUSH: Well, that’s the multicultural curriculum now. The white Europeans that came to settle the country were thieves and muggers and whatever else. They came in, mistreated, stole, did all that. That’s what’s taught. That’s why we’re doing the books.
CALLER: Exactly. It’s been a great help to be able to read to him that our Founding Fathers had moral principles that they abided by.
RUSH: Has he read the Brave Pilgrims?
CALLER: Yeah. We actually got him the book on tape for that one, but we’re going through First Patriots right now, and I’m reading that to him.
RUSH: Oh, well, I’m gonna send you Brave Pilgrims so he can read it, because that will contradict exactly what he was taught in your example with the young Native American boy and the colonial boy and he came home and told you that the enemy, the bad people were the white people, ’cause the Brave Pilgrims book shows how that actually happened and how they got along and how they were mutually beneficial to each other.
CALLER: Exactly right. Well, hey, Rush, we’re thankful for you, we’re thankful for this country, and even though we’re going through these difficult things, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. And if we can raise this next generation up the right way, you know, I believe that things can turn around.
RUSH: That’s right, because that’s where the next leader is gonna come from.
CALLER: That’s right, exactly.
RUSH: So before you go I need to you to hang on so that we can send you the actual book.
CALLER: Aw, thanks, Rush. Happy Thanksgiving.
RUSH: Do you have the new one? Do you have the new one?
CALLER: No —
RUSH: Do you have Rush Revere and the American Revolution?
CALLER: No, we haven’t gotten that one yet.
RUSH: Well, what are you waiting on? For crying out loud, it’s been out for three weeks now, a month? You think I write these things for ’em to stay on the shelf? If you don’t buy ’em what the hell are they for? I tell you what I’ll do.
CALLER: (laughing)
RUSH: I’ll throw in one of those, too. We’ll throw in Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims and Rush Revere and the American Revolution. You’ve got the audio.
CALLER: He’s gonna love that, and he loves you. My six-year-old last night asked, “Dad, Rush Revere, is he real? Is he a real person?” You know, so it’s great to see the mind working —
RUSH: That’s great.
CALLER: — and they listen to you on the radio, and it’s awesome.
RUSH: That’s cool. That’s why we always keep this program on the straight and narrow, ’cause we always know there are children listening. Your nine-year-old who’s read the books, does he have a favorite character in these books?
CALLER: Yeah, Liberty.
RUSH: Well, then you’ve got to go to Facebook. You’ve gotta take him to the Facebook page and let him see the video.
CALLER: I will do that.
RUSH: It’s right at the top, you can’t miss it, Facebook.com/RushRevere. Hang on so we can get your FedEx address and all that.
