RUSH: Here’s Victor in Silver Spring, Maryland. You’re next. It’s great to have you here, sir. Hello.

CALLER: Hey, Rush.

RUSH: Hey.

CALLER: Boy, that was a great call from Sue. And it makes me wonder if my former wife is sorry that she dumped me because I listened to you.

RUSH: (laughing) You gotta be kidding. Your wife dumped you because of this?

CALLER: Yeah, you saw me on C-SPAN talking to Ann Coulter about my divorce. I’m that Victor. The blind guy.

RUSH: That Victor.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: I vaguely remember this, Victor. Your wife actually dumped you because you were a regular listener of my program. And you were an evangelist, you tried to get her to listen also.

CALLER: Yeah. And she gave me an ultimatum, and I decided to keep listening to you, and she walked out on me.

RUSH: How many years ago was that, Victor?

CALLER: She dumped me in ’93.

RUSH: ’93. Is that really what happened? She dumped you? It sounds like the decision was yours.

CALLER: No, she gave me an ultimatum, it was either her or the radio, one or the other.

RUSH: Right. And so you chose the radio.

CALLER: Exactly.

RUSH: And she just assumed that that meant she had been dumped, which was true.

CALLER: Yeah. Anyway, what I wanted to talk to you about —

RUSH: No, wait a minute, Victor. This is crucial. You did the dumping.

CALLER: No, she walked out.

RUSH: I know that, but you made the choice.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: She gave you the ultimatum, and you chose, and she left. You didn’t leave.

CALLER: No.

RUSH: Did you get the house?

CALLER: Yeah. I bought her out.

RUSH: You know what you could have done, Victor? You could have spared yourself all this trouble. How many years ago did you marry her?

CALLER: I married her in ’71, so we were married for 22 years.

RUSH: Okay, look, if you would have decided in 1970 you hated her, buy her the house then, never marry her, look how far ahead of the game you’d have been.

CALLER: Possibly.

RUSH: Except you kept the house, right?

CALLER: Yeah, I kept the house.

RUSH: Well, then you’re not out that bad.

CALLER: Yeah, I got everything Brailled in the house, so I’m used to it.

RUSH: Well, where did she end up?

CALLER: She’s living somewhere in Silver Spring.

RUSH: Oh, so she’s still nearby?

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: Do you ever run into her?

CALLER: No, but a neighbor has at the hardware store.

RUSH: The hardware store.

CALLER: Yeah, she needed a new snow shovel.

RUSH: We could keep on with this.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: (laughing).

CALLER: I don’t want to waste your time, Rush.

RUSH: You’re not. Victor, you’re not. Believe me. Ex-wives and snow shovels and hardware stores, right up my alley. But, anyway, that’s not why you called, I know. What is it that you wanted to talk about?

CALLER: Well, I heard you yesterday playing a clip of Obama saying he never heard of this guy before, Gerard or whatever his name is.

RUSH: Gruber. Gruber.

CALLER: Gruber. I’m sorry.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: And he was saying he’s gonna get to the bottom of this, and then you said the theorem, The Rush Theorem was coming. And then today, this morning on one of my talk show that I was listening to, Tom Marr in Baltimore, your WCBM affiliate —

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: — he mentioned the fact that Obama made some kind of presentation in 2006 thanking Gruber and you played it at the end of the first hour, and I’m saying to myself, “Boy, that’s a huge See, I Told You So.”

RUSH: Exactly right. And I’ve been warning people about Obama ever since we’ve had access to these old audio sound bites of him, all the way back to 2001-2002 in Chicago talking to the SEIU about eliminating employer-based health insurance, about eliminating the private sector insurance industry. It’s all been there and people have chosen to ignore it, or accept it. But the one thing about it, none of it, and even today, even now, 90% of what you know, Victor, 90% of what you know about Jonathan Gruber and Obama has yet to be reported in any of what you would call mainstream media: ABC, CBS, NBC, Washington Post, New York Times, it hasn’t been reported.

The low-information crowd, the last they heard on this was that Obama is livid. He just found out that some loose-lipped braggart that he hadn’t heard of is out claiming they had to lie to the American people, and, by God, Obama’s gonna get to the bottom of it. That’s the last thing the low-information crowd heard about this, the last thing they know. I appreciate the call, Victor. I really do. I don’t know how to express my gratitude. At the moment you were given the ultimatum, you made the right choice. I don’t know how to thank you.
