RUSH: This is Elena from Warrenton, Virginia, and she’s 10 years old. It’s great to have you here on the program today, Elena. Hi.

CALLER: Thank you. Hello, Mr. Limbaugh. I just wanted to thank you so much for writing those books. I. Love. Them.

RUSH: (chuckling)

CALLER: Absolutely love them. (giggles)

RUSH: You are more than welcome, and you sound so cute. You sound so well-spoken.

CALLER: Thank you.

RUSH: It’s great to have you on the program.

CALLER: Thank you. I got the first book from my grandmother, and I kind of read it, but then I broke my left femur in January and I couldn’t go outside and play. So I would sit down on the couch and read the first book, and then I finished that and I really loved it, and so my grandmother got the second book. So I read that one, and I loved that one, too. (giggles) And then she just recently got me the third book, and I’m almost done with that one, and I love that one, too. (giggles)

RUSH: So you’ve read Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, Rush Revere and the First Patriots, and Rush Revere and the American Revolution. You’ve read all three?

CALLER: Yep. I have.

RUSH: All because of a broken femur.

CALLER: (giggles) Yeah.

RUSH: How did you break your femur?

CALLER: I was sledding down a hill, and then my sled crossed in front of someone else’s, and he ran into my leg.

RUSH: Oh, my God. That had to hurt.

CALLER: Yeah, kind of. (giggles)

RUSH: Yeah. Was it…? So it was a boy that did it? A boy broke your femur?

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: Yeah. Figures.

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.

RUSH: Well, you are so kind. You’re so nice. I want to send you an autographed set of these books that you can keep. You don’t have to open them except just to look at the autographed signature page. But that way you keep them fresh. I want to send you the audio versions, too, Elena, because I read those. I record those. If you want to relive them without having to read them, there’s six CDs for each book.

Just pop ’em in and listen to them whenever you want. In fact, we’ll put together a whole Rush Revere package for you and send it off to you because you’ve made my day. The third book… This is hard to say, but the third book, we have been so excited for it to come out. The first two were excellent, in our minds. But this one, the third one is just really, really good. We were so excited for people to read this one, and the fact that you like them all is just great, because that means mission accomplished for me.

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: I never knew that anything I would write would be interesting to somebody your age, and the fact that it is and that you like it, that’s just perfect.

CALLER: Yes, and I’ve been listening to your show since I was little, ’cause my mom would listen to them. When I would be eating lunch she would turn it on (giggles), and I would listen to it, too. So I really like it.

RUSH: This is a grand-slam home run for me today.

CALLER: (giggles)

RUSH: So you listen to the program to boot. Okay, well, this is great. Elena, thank you very much. You are great. Where is Warrenton, Virginia? What’s it close to?

CALLER: It’s like an hour away from DC.

RUSH: That’s close enough, yeah.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: So FedEx can get to you on Saturday. I don’t know if we’ll get it to you tomorrow, but certainly by next week we’ll have a whole bunch of stuff from Rush Revere and Liberty, too. You need to hang on so Mr. Snerdley to get your FedEx address, okay?

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: Thanks, Elena, very much.

CALLER: Thank you so much.

RUSH: No, it’s my pleasure. Can you believe how well-spoken she was, at 10 years old? Now, many of you who are around 10-year-olds, it may not be that uncommon, but I’m not around that many. I don’t know, that’s just… To me it’s just cute. It’s so cool. We’ll get the stuff out to her and just great. Thank you again, Elena. I appreciate it.
