RUSH: I have assembled today a stack of seemingly minor, inconsequential, hardly even noticeable little news stories that nobody will know about. I mean, they’re AP stories and they might show up on page 13-B of your local Press-Scimitar newspaper or whatever. But you won’t see it.

The Drive-Bys will not talk about them, but every one of these stories is a great illustration of how the left has intertwined and woven a web of tentacles and deceit into the deepest sectors of our society and culture, such as banning yet another farmer from any activity on his own land because of an animal on the endangered species list. I’m not saying we’re being duped or tricked or distracted. This stuff just happens every day and nobody knows about it, until it gets big enough to have an impact on a lot of people.

While everybody’s focusing on Gruber and Obamacare and amnesty, all of these little leftist robots that run little towns and states and cities are doing their thing every day. Stories like this happen every day, and I, your host, overlook them because they’re so seemingly small and inconsequential. But I thought I would just assemble a Stack. It’s not a whole lot, maybe five or six, there could be a little more in there, and at some point during the program today I will discuss them with you and show you exactly what I mean.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: From the Stack of Tiny Little Stuff Out There That Nobody Will Notice, But It Matters. Actually, a Port St. Lucie story first. Port St. Lucie, Florida, is famous for citizens getting upset when McDonald’s is out of Chicken McNuggets, and so they go call 911 and ask for Obama. “Police say a Florida man stole a chain saw by sticking it down his pants.

“Surveillance video from Treasure Coast Lawn Equipment in Port St. Lucie shows the man putting the tool worth more than $600 down his pants October 28. Police tell Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers that [the guy] came in asking for $1 worth of change.” If the chain saw could fit down his pants, what does that say?

Oh, the unemployment number is out. I forgot. Yeah, see how after the election, nobody even reports it? The unemployment number went up two-tenths, 5.5% to 5.9%. But that doesn’t matter; everything’s okay. The recovery is hot and steady.

The Republican Party…

“Time to stock up on the ramen noodles. The average cost of attending college crept up again this year, the College Board said Thursday. The average sticker price, with room and board included, for undergraduate students attending a four-year college or university in their home state was $18,943. Out-of-state students at those schools paid, on average, $32,762. … The cost to attend a private, four-year nonprofit college: $42,419 … For-profit schools cost about $15,230 …”

“A US Congressman says hackers from China were able to breach computer systems operated by the federal agency that oversees the National Weather Service and other climate-related programs.” They say that the ChiComs were able to hack ’em, but they were able to shut ’em down and they were able to isolate the data away from the ChiComs. But the ChiComs were able to access data that had to do with emergency evacuation plans and storm-tracking software and so forth and so on.

“Only a handful of people were able to speak on a proposal that could make the tiny Massachusetts town of Westminster the first in the nation to ban all sales of tobacco products when boos and shouts from the crowd shut down the public hearing Wednesday night.” It was a backfire again in Massachusetts on bunch of libs who showed up in this little town. They wanted to totally ban tobacco of any kind, anywhere, any time, and a bunch of people showed up and booed the activists off the stage.

“Federal officials granted protection to the Gunnison sage grouse on Wednesday, a move that could bring restrictions on oil and gas drilling and other activity to preserve the bird’s habitat in parts of Colorado and Utah. Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper immediately renewed the state’s threat to sue to block the measures. … Utah officials were also critical…”

These kinds of things, they just continue.

“A group is moving ahead in its effort to have officials in a city in Upstate New York ban single-use plastic bags.” That’s in Saratoga Springs. I mean, the left is just on the march!

“A New York state assemblyman says sugary drinks should bear warning labels because of related health problems like obesity, heart disease and diabetes.” You thought this was on the downside? No. The left is still continuing to try to manipulate and control what you eat or drink.

“A Connecticut middle school principal has resigned amid questions about his role in making violent movies featuring scantily clad women.” His name was Mark Foley. This guy gets around. It is amazing.

“The Supreme Court is considering new limits on how states can assess income tax on money residents earn across state lines.” This is much needed. You know, you work in New York and you live in New Jersey or Connecticut, and you get soaked. So the Supreme Court is gonna consider new limits on this.

“Cat lovers in Northern California are pouncing at the chance of spending time with feline company at a new cat cafe in Oakland. Cat Town Cafe is giving dozens of visitors a chance to mingle with [cats] while sipping coffee and nibbling on cat-themed cookies.” This is the town that demanded Burger King start selling veggie burgers, and now they want people to be able to come in and have coffee and whatever with cats.

Not their own. I guess this place has a cat problem and can’t get rid of ’em.

So there you go.
