People Are Worried Republicans Will Blow It

by Rush Limbaugh - Nov 10,2014

RUSH: Here is Travis in Lexington, Tennessee. Great to have you. Hi.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thanks for taking my call.

RUSH: You bet, sir.

CALLER: Hey, I moved down here to Tennessee back in the 1990s, and when I moved down here, Tennessee was a solid Democrat state to be counted on in every election. But I’ve seen a great transformation over the years as people realize that they really are conservative and not just Democrat. So we’re seeing that transition take place here, and I hope the Republicans realize that they now have two branches in Washington and that they really differentiate themselves and are not just the right leg of the same body politic. They have a real opportunity because, you know, the Democrats and the liberals, the socialists, they’re fighting a hundred year war for our country, our hearts and our minds. The Republicans need to take some solid steps, they need to have a strategy to win, and that strategy is our Constitution. They need to follow those principles, reestablish those principles in our government so they can assure that our country will be around for another 200 years.

RUSH: Well, I can’t disagree with that.

CALLER: Well, I appreciate you taking my call, and I listen to you every day, and, you know, you give us inspiration out here in the heartland.

RUSH: Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I’m a little confused. It says that you wanted to talk about health care and how I had just —

CALLER: Oh, yeah. Well, you know —

RUSH: Well, I don’t have to time now. I’m sorry.

CALLER: Carville, you know, when —

RUSH: I don’t have time. And I wanted to know what he was talking about!

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: You know, I noticed, here we are basically five days out from a massive election victory. And how many calls did we have today from people who are really, really worried that the Republicans are gonna blow it? I think that’s telling and at the same time it’s interesting to me. I think it illustrates that there’s still quite a lack of confidence out there, even in light of this victory. So there’s work to do on that.
