RUSH: It is Robert in Cedar Park, Texas. It’s great to have you on the program. Hello.

CALLER: Rush, it is an honor to talk to you.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: I’ve been voluntarily listening to you for the past 15 years.

RUSH: Voluntarily listening?

CALLER: (chuckling)

RUSH: You mean as opposed to under duress?

CALLER: Absolutely. I used to have a competitor, I used to be in food sales, and we used to be sitting there and do our orders and stuff.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: And one of my competitors would have you on, and this is before I became a conservative.

RUSH: Ohhhh.

CALLER: And it would drive me crazy!

RUSH: (laughing) Yes.

CALLER: I was like, “Dude, turn that guy off! He’s driving me crazy.” Now I can’t wait to turn you on during the week. So…

RUSH: Well, welcome home.

CALLER: Well, thank you. (chuckling)

RUSH: It’s great to have you home.

CALLER: It’s been an honor and it’s been a privilege because you’ve given me so much knowledge. You made an impact, so much so that my college student who is at Texas A&M calls me sometimes and says, “What did Rush say about so-and-so today?”

RUSH: So you’re the Rush expert, now. You’re the guy that everybody that you know goes to to find out what’s up?

CALLER: (chuckling) Absolutely.

RUSH: That’s power.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: That’s power, man. That’s power.

CALLER: It really is.

RUSH: You’re the authority figure.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: That’s cool.

CALLER: It’s been a blessing, so thank you. So my question is, since you’ve had a couple weeks now to play with your new iPhones, I was wondering what your thoughts were on ’em and what you’re most excited about with the software coming out for the Macs.

RUSH: Well, I have them. You know, as a powerful, influential member of the media here, I have ’em both, and I have to tell you: I would have a tough time choosing, if I could only have one.

CALLER: Uh huh.

RUSH: It would be hard, because they’re both fabulous, but I think the thing that… I don’t want this to be critical. The iPhone 6 Plus is just fabulous. It’s a two-hand phone. It is not a one-hand phone. If that matters to you, then the iPhone 6 is for you, but the iPhone 6 I think is the perfect phone. It’s beautiful. It’s wicked fast. The screen on the iPhone 6 is 4.7 inches. That’s 7/10ths of an inch bigger than the iPhone 5 or 5S and it’s the biggest seven-tenths of an inch I’ve ever seen.

CALLER: Really? It makes that big a difference?

RUSH: It totally changes the experience of using the phone. Just 7/10ths of an inch. It’s light; it’s thin. You can’t go wrong with either one if you like iPhones.

CALLER: Yeah. We became iPhone users about two years ago. We were kind of shunning it a little bit and my college son and I both jumped in at the same time, and I know you’ve always been an advocate for ’em. So…

RUSH: Well, I tell you what I’m gonna do. Since you have become the source authority for your group of friends, I’m gonna make this choice of yours very simple.

CALLER: Oh, my God.

RUSH: I’m gonna send you, if you will let me — now, you may not want it. But I’m gonna send you an iPhone 6.

CALLER: It would be an honor. I appreciate that.

RUSH: I’ll send you an iPhone 6. Now, obviously… Do you have a cell phone now?

CALLER: Yes, sir. I’ve got the 5.

RUSH: You’ve got the 5. I need to ask: With what cellular carrier are you contracted?

CALLER: It’s with Verizon.

RUSH: Verizon?

CALLER: Yes, sir.

RUSH: Okay. I don’t have any Verizon. It may be a couple of weeks, but do not give up hope. I’ve got some coming for giveaway purpose, exactly for this purpose. What color do you prefer?

CALLER: I’ve got the white now, so maybe… Which one do you like better?

RUSH: Well, I don’t have to make that choice, either. (laughing)

CALLER: (laughing) I’m sure.

RUSH: If you like… Is yours white, gold or silver?

CALLER: The white with silver on the back.

RUSH: Silver. Okay, I’ll send you either a silver or gold.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: It’ll be a Verizon iPhone 6 with 128 gigabyte. You’ll see what I’m talking about, and then if you want another, if you decide you want the iPhone 6, all you have to do is go out and get one.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: The 6 Plus, I mean. But I guarantee you it’ a tough decision for people.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: Because the big screen is the big screen, and the iPhone 6 Plus, I’ll tell you something else: It’s easily a day and a half battery.

CALLER: Really?

RUSH: Easily a day and a half. The iPhone 6 you’ll get about three hours more with it than you do your iPhone 5 or 5S. You’ll easily get the whole day with the 6. It’s not a slacker. But the big phone has a bigger battery.

CALLER Yeah, that’s true.

RUSH: But it’s a two-handed phone, and if you like one-hand use for gaming or whatever, or just using the phone then the 6 is for you. Hang on. Mr. Snerdley will get your address and all that —

CALLER: Thank you, Rush! I really appreciate it.

RUSH: — so when I get this Verizon model we can get it to you. Don’t hang up.
