RUSH: There’s a young American teenager in Chicago, a 19-year-old young American boy in Chicago, left a letter expressing disgust with Western society. Typical American boy, according to the AP. “A 19-year-old American left a letter expressing disgust with Western society before trying to board an international flight in Chicago, the first step in his plan to sneak into Syria to join the Islamic State group, according to a federal criminal complaint released Monday.”

So here we have a perfect example of what people refer to as homegrown terrorism. Here we have a red-blooded American boy from Chicago.

In fact, referred to by the AP in the story as “an Illinois teen,” quote/unquote, who suddenly decided to take up terrorism. Oh, wait. His name? Mohammed Hamza Khan. A typical American boy. Just your average American Illinois teenager, fed up with Western society. “Mohammed Hamza Khan,” is a typical, red-blooded, average American teen “who lived with his parents in the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook, was arrested Saturday at O’Hare International Airport trying to board a plane on the first leg of connecting flights to Turkey, which borders Syria.

“He is charged with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist group, which carries a maximum 15-year prison sentence. Investigators said Khan left a three-page, handwritten letter in his bedroom for his parents that expressed anger over his US taxes being used to kill his ‘Muslim brothers and sisters,’ an apparent reference to a bombing campaign against Islamic State militants.”

So Mr. Mohammed Hamza Khan — average American teen from the Illinois suburbs — was upset that his taxes were being used to kill Muslims. (As if 19-year-olds pay taxes! Ha-ha. Excuse me.) So he decided to go to Syria to help ISIS kill Muslims because, whether he knows it or not, ISIS is also killing Muslims, including anybody else. Anyway, there’s that.

So people say, “Come on, Rush! That’s not a big deal. Just let ’em go. Let ’em go and just don’t let him back in.” Well, that’s the problem isn’t it? We have this thing called open borders. How are we gonna stop him from coming back in, especially if he gets Ebola. (interruption) Our borders are screened? Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot. Right. Our borders are screened. Never mind! Let him go. Nothing to worry about.
