RUSH: James, Salt Lake City, your turn. Great to have you, sir. Hi.

CALLER: Hello, Rush. How are you today?

RUSH: Excellent. Outstanding.

CALLER: Thank you for taking my call. Hey, I was calling you from Salt Lake, and we had an officer shoot an unarmed white man, and then we found out later that it was a other-than-white officer is how they reported it.

RUSH: Wait, wait ho-ho-ho. Wait a minute now. You’re in Salt Lake City, an officer shot an unarmed white man.

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: And the officer in the media was portrayed as other-than-white?

CALLER: That is correct.

RUSH: Was he an illegal alien cop?

CALLER: Well, at first we thought he might be, but then they said no, he was an African-American. They will not release his name or the video from his camera that he wore on his vest, or the 911 call that was placed because of the shooting.

RUSH: When did this happen?

CALLER: Last week, I believe Wednesday or Thursday.

RUSH: Last week. Has Anderson Cooper been there yet?

CALLER: Say that again?

RUSH: Shep Smith, has he been there yet?

CALLER: No, nobody’s been here. As a matter of fact, I thought with all the rioting and looting that’s going on here, somebody would have come by and at least filmed it.

RUSH: Is there rioting and looting that’s going on there?

CALLER: None whatsoever.

RUSH: There’s no rioting and looting. There’s no Shep Smith. There’s no Anderson Cooper.

CALLER: No.

RUSH: Has Michael Eric Dyson or anybody been into town yet?

CALLER: No. And I thought maybe we would put a call into Al Sharpton and see if maybe he can come down and give us a hand ’cause this could really turn ugly.

RUSH: So you have a white person shot by an other-than-white cop?

CALLER: That’s a fact.

RUSH: And the other-than-white cop was wearing a camera, they’ve suppressed that feed, and they have suppressed the 911 call?

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: Wow. Wow.

CALLER: I know. It’s amazing. And nobody will report on it except all of the stations here, of course.

RUSH: You did of course, yeah. Other-than-white cop. Okay.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Here’s the story out of Salt Lake City. Our caller, who mentioned right before the end of the hour, the previous hour, that there was a shooting that sounds very similar to what happened in Ferguson, Missouri. It was August 12th. “Family Of Man Fatally Shot By Salt Lake City Police Want Justice — A day after Salt Lake City police shot and killed a man whose family claim he was unarmed, questions about the shooting remain unanswered.

“Dillon Taylor, 20, who is from Salt Lake, was exiting 7-Eleven with his brother and cousin, Adam Thayne, around 7 p.m. on Monday, when Salt Lake City police arrived, responding to a report of a man waving a gun in the area. The officers ordered the men to the ground. Two of them complied, but Dillon, who police say matched the suspect’s description, did not go down. ‘It came in as a 911 call that there was a man with a gun,’ said South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Darrin Sweeten. ‘He was verbally challenged and ultimately was shot.’ Sweeten did not release further details on the shooting on Tuesday.”

Now, note the similarities to the Michael Brown story, except in this case there’s no evidence that the victim actually committed a crime, as there is in St. Louis. And note the total absence of any mention of race in this story. There is absolutely no mention of race. Now, from all accounts, Dillon Taylor didn’t obey the cop’s orders because he was wearing headphones. He may not have heard the order to “get down.” He reportedly was trying to pull up his pants in order to get down on the floor.

In any case, he didn’t resist. He didn’t hit the cop. He didn’t try to flee, and yet he was shot dead. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, but in this story there was no reference whatsoever to race.

Now, our caller said that the police officer that pulled the trigger’s black, except the media in Salt Lake City’s not referring to him that way. They are referring to the officer as “other-than-white,” which reminds me of George Zimmerman becoming only the second known “white Hispanic,” a title given by the New York Times. George Zimmerman, “white Hispanic,” shot black, innocent kid, Trayvon Martin. You know the drill. And in St. Louis, in Ferguson, it’s white police officer Darren Wilson, shoots innocent gentle giant whose thinking about the first day of college classes in the middle of the street at 2:15 on a Saturday afternoon in St. Louis. Ferguson. It’s all St. Louis.

They can’t wait to mention the racial aspects in St. Louis. They can’t wait to. They don’t talk about the racial aspects in Chicago, and there aren’t any racial aspects here in Salt Lake City. However, our caller said that the media said the cop is “other-than-white,” so I said, “Well, what was he, Hispanic, illegal alien?”

“No, no, he’s a black police officer, but the media will not say that.”

You see, folks, it doesn’t matter, there is — I don’t know what the word is, agenda, there’s a mind-set out there. And the way it works, in situations like this only people of color can be victims. A white person can never be a victim. It just can’t happen. That’s not permitted. That isn’t allowed because it isn’t the case. The whites are the oppressors. They’re the majority. In the liberal worldview every majority is an oppressor, whether they’re white, they’re always the oppressors.

The minority is always the victims, and the victims are with whom we should always sympathize, no matter what. And the victims are permitted to do anything, precisely because they’re a minority. And I’m talking about in numbers, not skin color. They’re outnumbered. The evil majority does horrible things to the minority, and so the minorities, be it skin color or numbers, however, always victims, and many times victims are generational abuse, generational discrimination. And so anything they do is justified, and we must understand, try to understand the rage.

But in the current climate in the United States a black person can never be the oppressor, and a white person can never be a victim. That’s how you have a corrupt or perverted news business in Salt Lake City, refusing to identify a black cop who may have shot an innocent person. We can’t deal with that. That destroys the whole picture we’ve been creating here for centuries. Why, that, oh, no, that could totally destroy the image that we’ve been trying to concoct. Oh, man, that could blow it sky-high. That’s just not supposed to happen.
