RUSH: Joe in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Great to have you on the program. Hi.

CALLER: Hello.

RUSH: Yes. Hi.

CALLER: Yes, hi. I just wanted to inform you that my child went to school yesterday, and I found out that it’s National Children’s Book Week. I don’t know if it’s nationwide or anything like that, or just in Wisconsin, but the feature book that they read to the children was your Revere.

RUSH: Is that right?

CALLER: They came home and talked about a talking horse named Reindeer. I was like, “A talking horse named reindeer?” I said, “Are you sure it’s not Revere?” He goes, “That’s what it is, Revere. He goes into different time and stuff like that.” He’s only five years old, and he knows everything about the book already, and he never talks about books at school.

RUSH: You’re kidding!

CALLER: This one really got his attention.

RUSH: This is Children’s Book Week, or some such thing.

RUSH: Yeah, you’re right about that. Well, that is really a great story. He’s five years old and he likes everything about the book. He got a little confused about Revere and reindeer, but he heard about it, and his school highlighted it, did I hear you right?

CALLER: Yeah, they highlighted it as a feature book. Instead of the ordinary book they read at school, they brought this one special for Children’s Book Week.

RUSH: No kidding.

CALLER: My son is very excited. Now he wants a talking horse.

RUSH: (laughing) He wants a talking horse.

CALLER: It’s hard to get a five year old’s attention. We read books to him at home and stuff, and he only knows like the three-peat words, you know, like, the bird in the blue tree, something like that.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: And this one has given him several different words to pronounce and bring home and stuff like that is pretty exciting for him.

RUSH: Well, I think that’s great. That’s a profound compliment that you’re giving me, and I’m deeply flattered by it. I really appreciate it.

CALLER: Yes. So I just want you to know you’re doing a great job out there, and you’re really inspiring young children, because young children have brains like a sponge.

RUSH: Well, look, I really appreciate that. You know, there’s mission with these books, and the mission is very simple. It’s the truth. And it is an effort to make young people love this country and to be proud of it, because God knows there are countless blessings and reasons why we should all be thankful and love this country. It’s not taught anymore in too many places. So this is an effort to get the truth of the country’s history, particularly its founding, out to young people, to counter what they’re being taught elsewhere. Thank you, Joe.
